SEASON STORY

Even though the European results were amazing last year, a runner-up result in the UEFA Europa League, the lost final means no UEFA Champions League ticket for Ajax this season. This was because last season's disappointing domestic finish led to a UEFA Conference League ticket. Some Ajax stars didn't want to play in the UECL, which led to the departure of Bergwijn and van den Boomen. Captain Mbuyamba and van de Beek stayed faithful and wanted to achieve more success with Ajax. The holes in the starting eleven were quite big, so we had no choice but to give young talent more chances to become a foundation of future success. How will this mix of veterans and young talents perform this season in the Eredivisie and UEFA Conference League? Will this new blood create the magic to bring a league or European trophy back to Amsterdam?

RULES

#1 Nation/age Rules:
- Min. 4 players of under 20 years old in squad
- Min. 2 players of under 23 years old in starting 11
- Max. 6 (+3 youth academy) non-Dutch players in squad (after S2)
- Min. 1 (max. 3) youth player(s) promoted to first team each season

#2 Additional Club Rules:
⏩ Each season I am obligated to sell at least 2 starting players to keep refreshing the squad.
- If a loan player that was a starter, gets recalled, I have to sell at least 1 starting player.
⏩ I can't spend more than I earn from outgoing transfers + UEFA competition entry money.
- Champions League = €16 million.
- Europa League = €4 million.
- Conference League = €3 million.
⏩ I cannot renew contracts, unless the players asks for it.
⏩ I am not allowed to extent at least 1 player with a ending contract each season.

#3 Players above a certain OVR have to be sold at the beginning of the season, if they are under 34 years old:
⏩ Qualified for UCL: 50% of the 84+ players have to get sold.
⏩ Qualified for UEL or UECL: 50% of the 82+ players have to get sold.
⏩ Not qualified for European football: 50% of the 80+ players & all 78+ players younger than 23 have to get sold.

#4 I am not allowed to buy more than 3 (+ loan in 1) starting players per season.
⏩ Unless I sell more than 3, I can bring in the equal amount of starting players that have left the club.

#5 I am not allowed to buy, unless they are born in Amsterdam (max. one loan player is not limited in OVR).
⏩ Always:
- Starters from the best clubs in the world.
- Starters from Feyenoord, PSV, Utrecht and AZ.
- Any 85+ players of under 28 years old.
⏩ After missing UCL Group Stage:
- Any 82+ players.
⏩ After missing for UEL Group Stage:
- Any 80+ players.
⏩ Without reaching European football:
- Any 78+ players.

#6 I am allowed to exercise the option to buy of only one loaned player.
⏩ Loanee arrived in the first transfer window:
- He must have played >50% of the games.
⏩ Loanee arrived in the second transfer window:
- He must have played >25% of the games.
