Guys what do you think about this for next season? Considering most of us agree on the fact that we need to switch to a 4-3-3 (that could also be a 4-3-2-1) as we produced our best performances this year (for example against Juve) with this module, this is what I'd do to improve our team without signing too many players and without spending too much money.
- GK Backup : We'd all love Consigli but he still has a year and a half on his contract so he'd cost a few milz to convince Sassuolo to give him to us so I've gone with Sportiello, who's on a free and has proved that he's an extremely capable backup at Atalanta and Fiorentina, definitely an improvement on our Romanian superman.
- LB Backup : We all agree on the fact that FBT is utter shite and needs to be replaced ASAP, Parisi is the ideal player imo, young, Italian and could really develop as Theo's understudy, or we could simply go for some unknown Ligue 1 player (everyone is better than FBT).
- Starting CM : This is a role we need to fill in order to switch to a our beloved 4-3-3, Pobega, Adli and Krunic should stick to the bench and give us some cover for our rotations. Rodrigo De Paul is my favourite pick as he's great at carrying the ball forward, really physical and he also has a great shot on him, others who could fill that position would be Lovro Majer, Kouadio Koné, Khephren Thuram, Seko Fofana or even a crazy Kessie return.
- Bennacer's backup : In my opinion we need someone who could adequately replace Isma when he has to get some rest because when he doesn't play we lack a great dose of creativity and we end up struggling big time. My choice would fall on Maxime Lopez as he's Serie A proven and he reminds me a bit of Isma, while some other players who could fill that role are Nicolas Dominguez, Le Fee or Amrabat. If we want to start Isma in the Mezzala role we could sign some bigger names to play the 6, someone like Douglas Luiz, Djibril Sow or even Jorginho could give us what we need there.
RW : I'd start CDK there, he needs to be trusted and given a steady run of games to succeed, and he could do that that on the right wing. I'd also sign Brahim 'cause he deserves it and there's nothing much better out there for that kind of money, but if we don't end up redeeming him we could opt for someone like Isaksen or Ziyech for depth, or, if we wanna go big, someone like Olise, Marcus Edwards or Bourigeaud.
ST : Giroud is an amazing striker and a real leader on the field but he's not getting any younger and we need someone who can give him some rest and eventually replace him as our bonified starter and that man is surely not Divock Origi, a player that I don't rate at all and I'd only keep because he's obviously not going to leave after a single season. My favourite option would be Armando Broja, someone who has every necessary ability to succeed as a Milan striker, with some other names like Kolo Muani, Terrier, Thuram, Okafor and Jonathan David as other viable options.
LW : This is only if we are forced to part ways with Leao, I'd do everything in our power to extend his contract and keep him with us, buuut, if we cannot do that, I'd replace him with Cody Gakpo, other options being Mudryk, Lang, Karlsson and Terrier.
