Chris Hughton takes over at Crystal Palace after a surprise illness forced Roy Hodgson to vacate his position. He brings with him Paul Nevin and Paul Trollope (his assistants from Brighton) while Dean Kelly has agreed to stay on as the GK coach. The new manager is keen to stick it to his former club for what he felt was an unjust firing. Linking up with their closest rivals should get their attention.
Chairman Steve Parish has promised the fans "something new" when asked about the direction of the club. He was not kidding, a large number of players have left the club this summer, including Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Hughton has been given the chance to build the squad in the way he feels can challenge for a top 10 spot this season.
Crystal Palace Draft Career Mode:
Premise - 6 people draft (snake draft A, B, C, C, B, A) 2 players each from the same club (Crystal Palace). Anyone can be drafted other than the club captain (Milivojević) and anyone who has already signed this summer (Cahill, Ayew, McCarthy, Henderson). Once the draft is complete, the participants have to used their draft picks at least 30 times this season and get the 10 other players drafted off their roster by September 1st.
