Had to sneak Vecino in there didn’t you 😂
After Juve scored the first goal the game was over
Did not know this video existed 😂
Exactly, as annoying as this situation is and all the fixtures being rearranged to our disadvantage, at the heart of it all my weekends just aren’t as enjoyable not being able to watch inter play :/
Definitely post it, I would really enjoy reading it as even tho it might not be entirely different it’s still great to hear everyone’s opinions on players and transfer strategy
Like I said to Berni, I do hope Moses does well and if he proves me wrong I would be happy. I just really want us to go for two WC wing backs in the summer as whilst Moses could be a great addition he’ll never become one of the best wing backs in the world like Cancelo or Pereira can become
Of course I hope Moses does well, but I do hope that someone WC would be bought to play RM, as the wingbacks are super important in Conte’s system. And yes Asamoah is great to be a back up for a few years and I actually forgot to write about him. But I think he can’t play the high intensity football that Conte demands anymore, he’s been out for so long and has been training with the squad but has never even been named on the bench. I think he might be done for which is unfortunate as he is a very good player.
In my opinion, I think this is what the team should look like from next season on wards:
GK: 1. Handanovic 2. Radu 3. Padelli
I think we can all agree from next season Radu should return to become 2nd choice goalkeeper. I wish we had recalled him in January so he could've played in the EL and we also would've avoided this Padelli situation (Who I actually don't think is that bad of a goalkeeper, he hasn't played a game in a year he was always gonna be shaky).
RCB: 1. Skriniar 2. D'Ambrosio
We all know Skriniar plays best on the right, so he should be starting there whilst Danilo has been a solid player for us over the years and is fine to be a backup RCB and RWB hybrid.
CB: 1. de Vrij 2. Godin 3. Ranocchia
Obviously SDV has been immense for us and will stay as the main CB. However I don't believe Godin has been as poor as people suggest. Yes he hasn't been anywhere near his previous best and that is because I think he dosn't fit as a RCB. I think he should be shifted over to the middle CB and from next season onwards can play backup and brings immense experience and a winning mentality to the locker room. If Rano is willing to become 7th choice CB than I would keep him as he is a valuable member of the locker room, he'd basically never play but if he is happy to be here then let him stay.
LCB: 1. Vertonghen/Umtiti 2. Bastoni
We need another left footed CB in the team, I love Bastoni but he has made mistakes (which is part of his growing process). Which is why I have no problem with him having some competition which can be beneficial for him. My first choice would be Vertonghen, he would be available for free and has a plethora of experience and would eventually be shifted to the back up as Bastoni grows. My second choice would be Umtiti as whilst he has WC potential, he would hinder Bastoni's growth more due to his relatively young age of 25 and also has not been the same since his serious injury. He would also be very expensive especially considering other areas of the team need more imminent investment.
RM: 1. Cancelo/Pereira/Atal 2. Candreva
Our wing backs have been our weakness for years now. I would love for Cancelo to return and he would be my first choice. He knows Serie A, and we all saw how great he was for us, and I think he fits the bill perfectly for us. If not him we should then go for Ricardo Pereira who is of similar quality to Cancelo, however Leicester would make us pay far more for him than we would have to pay for Cancelo. Third would be Atal as he is young and knows the 3-5-2 system as Nice play with it. However people have noted his lack of defensive contribution to the team and he also had a very serious knee injury which very few footballers can come back from and stay at the same level as we've seen in the past. Candreva is fine to continue being our backup RM for a couple more years as his performances this season have merited that.
RCM: 1. Barella 2. Gagliardini/Vecino
Barella has shown us many a times he could be our starting midfielder for the next 10 years. He has a very bright, black and blue future ahead of him. I believe both Gaglia and Vecino's performances this season have merited them staying at the club as the 6th choice midfielder from next season onwards. I honestly don't mind who between the two stays.
CDM: 1. Brozovic 2. Tonali 3. Agoume
When Brozo plays well Inter play well and that is the plain and simple truth. He makes the team tick. However he can make mistakes and that because he plays every single minute of every single game. Which is why bringing in Tonali as his back up is pivotal. However I don't solely see Tonali as the vice-Brozo, he has the qualities to play as mezzala and he would battle to be alongside Sensi as 4th choice midfielder, and could even start games as one of the CM's on either side of Brozo if his form merited it. Of course he would then also be able to play as regista whenever needed making him a very valuable squad player and not just coming to Inter to be a back up regista. Agoume also needs more time playing consistently in the Primavera, but as 7th choice midfielder he is fine, he will only get better with Conte.
LCM: 1. Eriksen 2. Sensi
Eriksen at his best is WC, he is a no brainer to be in the starting line-up. We saw what Sensi can do during the first 3 months of the season, and I think he can get back to those levels once he gets consistent minutes under his belt. But the injuries mean that he can't are undisputed starter which is why Eriksen was brought in. So the competition between the two will be very beneficial for the club.
LM: 1. Kostic/Gosens/Emerson 2. Young
Again with our fullbacks being a problem, we need a WC LM. For me Kostic would be first choice, he's been one of the best Bundesliga players let alone one of Frankfurt's best players and knows the 3-5-2 to a T. Second choice is Gosens, he is a great player for Atalanta, and is a real workhorse and goal scorer. He could get even better under Conte. My third choice would be Emerson. Conte wanted him before at Chelsea and got him, and he's also a starter for the national team. My only issue with him is his injury problems. As for the back up, Young has played very well since joining and has done far more in 4 games than Biraghi has done in 4 months. So he can stay as back up like Candreva for a couple years.
RS: 1. Lukaku 2. Giroud/Pinamonti
Obviously, Lukaku stays as 1 of the 2 strikers. However we have no other large strikers and Giroud is a great option to have as a big no.9 to link up play. The only difference to Lukaku is he dosn't have the speed to maybe go on the counter attack like Lukaku. However he also would be available for free and also has a lot of experience. However if he was not available I would be more than happy bringing back Pinamonti. As I believe eventually he would be one of our main 4 strikers and one day would make an amazing link up with Esposito up top. But if Giroud was available I would loan Pinamonti out once again.
LS: 1. Martinez 2. Sanchez/Mertens 3. Esposito
Again no one can dispute Lautaro as one of our main two up top. However I believe Sanchez is fine to play as back up to him. He has had 1 bad game since he joined which was against Fiorentina when he was played out of position. He is a champion and again provides a winning mentality. If he is willing to take a wage cut and MU don't ask for more than 15m then I would keep him. Of course if Sanchez is not available then I would go for Mertens (who would command similar wages to what Sanchez would probably have to cut to if he joined Inter, 7.5m a year). We know how good he can be as we have seen at Napoli and he would fit in well at Inter. However both him and Sanchez would merely be short 1-2 stop gaps for Esposito to build up the necessary experience to break into the first team and be one of the 4 main strikers. But I do believe he should continue on as 5th choice striker in case of injury.
He has looked a solid player for such a young age and we have been linked with him frequently. He is a right footed CB so he would have to take the place of D'Ambrosio, which is fine but I think a left footed CB is of more need. But if we sign him I'd be happy.
Obviously signing SMS would be amazing, he has everything and provides some height to our midfield that only Gaglia and Vecino provide, yet they are far more technically inferior to him. Whilst it would be great to sign him, signing Tonali is of far more importance as we would not be able to sign both.
Like SMS, if Vidal were to sign for Inter it would mean no Tonali as I believe the only reason Tonali would sign for us would be to play as both a mezzala and regista and also having the opportunity to do both. Signing Vidal to play mezzala means Tonali could only play at regista so he would definitely not come. However if Tonali and SMS were not available I would be happy to sign Vidal, but we would again still need a vice-Brozo.
LM: Alex Telles
Bringing back Telles as our starting LM could be an option, however he has been linked to many PL clubs and we are yet to be strongly linked with him. There are also questions over his defensive ability as the Liga NOS is not known to be a league of the highest quality. But attacking wise he is a great choice.
Theo has been Milan's best player for them this season, without a doubt. If we could somehow pry him off them it would be amazing as he has been one of the best LB's in Serie A this season. However it is very unlikely he'd leave Milan to join Inter, but if it was possible I would not hesitate to do it.
Players that would be leaving:
With Radu coming in Padelli will be 3rd choice, there just simply won't be enough room for him. Although I do love that happy bald man.
Yes he got an assist yesterday, but I believe defensively he's probably only a bit better than Lazaro. We'll need better than him and he most likely wont be redeemed at the end of the season.
CM: Borja Valero
Probably the most technically gifted player on the team, but unfortunately whilst football is played with the head first, he dosn't have the legs anymore. If only he was 8 years younger....
One of the two of them will have to go as there won't be any room for them both and whichever is deemed not good enough will have to make way to bring in someone else.
Whilst I love he is an Interista at heart, and is from the academy, he just simply is not good enough. If anything he is actually better as a pure LB than a LM. Unless he drastically improves he will most likely have to go.
