That's the ironic thing, despite the size of the country and other I guess "prejudices" to Swiss football, the passion is incredible, i have friends that have familial ties to clubs that go back three, four, generations.... It's sad theres not a lot of coverage or emphasis on Swiss clubs, for example, arguably smaller leagues (really subjective) have WAY more coverage, despite there numbers!

Yeah, there is indeed little to no information about Swiss football in English. It might not be the best league in terms of quality, but it surely is a great league when it comes to history, passion and fans.

Lausanne-Sport is historically one of the biggest clubs in Switzerland. Attendances may not speak for them, but in terms of titles they are. This is a common issue for all Romandy and Ticino clubs and it could possibly be correlated to ice hockey. It is highly popular in those regions, but i'm not quite sure on this one. The city of Lausanne is behind Lausanne-Sport, while Ouchy is just a small neighborhood team. Therefore they got a big rivalvry with Servette, while there is not much of an rivalry with Ouchy as they literally got no fans.

Basically just another soulless investor club. For the most part, they were in the fourth tier of Switzerland until the CEO of Franck Muller bought them. Within seven years, they made their way up to the first tier. Their average home attendance barely scratches two thousand fans and for most of their away games, they bring literally zero supporters. With a city in Switzerland as big as Lausanne, you would expect a bit more support. Meanwhile traditionally big clubs like Sion, Aarau or Xamax sit in the second tier.
