Honestly think its weird hes had 80+ ball control for so long. Rarely is someone's touch as inconsistent as Aubas. Even at his best he was a bit of a one trick poney. Wasnt very involved in buildup. Wasn't someone you actively wanted on the ball at all, UNLESS it was in the box. Auba was ridiculously fast and smart in his runs, timing etc, with good finishing. Everything else was kind of average (not a criticism really; in the right role he could still bag tons of goals). For Auba to truly succeed tho, you kind of just need to let him hang on the last man (he can be great in a front 2 tho, provided the other ST plays as the focal point, giving Auba freedom to make runs in the wide areas, similar to Lukaku at Inter. Him and Laca were a pretty good ST partnership for example. Arsenal rarely played with 2 STs tho). And even tho he looks a bit off rn, I think he can still do decently in the right system. Really think a front 2 suits him the best tbh, esp now that he's declined a bit. But damn, Chelsea has not worked out at all for him.
