Mostly played 4-2-3-1 wide with LW and RW instead of LM and RM.
In the first match of the PL season Martin Odegaard torn his ACL and was out till march. I wanted to play Odegaard at CAM, Smith Rowe at LM and Martinelli at ST for more fluid attack. Vlahović was then cemented in first 11 after Odegaards injury and Smith Rowe was our main man. 52 caps, 18 goals, 16 assists, definitely MVP of the season. Played verry captainish, and was promoted to 2nd captain. Midfield pivot was the most changed in the summer. We bought Kamara to be out captain, and main defensive midfielder, we bought Tchouameni to be beside him, and get Camavinga on loan with option to buy for 80 millions after 2 seasons. They rotated well, sometimes Kamara played at CB so that all three of them played. After Odegaards injury it was pretty clear that Saka and Martinelli will be out main wingers. We bought Kingley Coman, but small injuryes and english league keep him ... without good feelings. He was sub in most of the games where he could outsprint and outdribble tired players. Similar story was Pepe. Martinelli and Saka together scored 23 and assisted 21 times. But the main reason why they was good was because they now our game ... passing, running, pressing.
Deffence was Ramsdale, Gabriel, White. Solid, Tomiyasu was defensive beast, Tierney is versatile enought. We easily distribute the ball from the back line. Nuno Tavares was good rotation player, so were Holding, Chambers and Patino who had some nice moments.
After Odegaard returned he needed some time to find his form back (his OVR dropped for 2) and right after that Gabi Martinelli torn his ACL. Again the saviour wa Smith Rowe who turned into fine winger, and save our season.
