Unexciting but probably realistic Manchester United squad for 24/25 for a budget. Likely focus should be on building depth so the squad can be rotated to avoid build-up of injuries.
Brereton and Semenyo are young and decent backup options would likely wouldn't mind being bench options at a bigger club. Can play across the front-line, giving 6 options + Mount. (If Greenwood returns then I'd swap him for Semenyo, I think that the club will try to cash in on him). Semenyo might be pricey if Bournemouth want to hold onto him.
Probably would want another backup to Mainoo, just to manage his workload. I think Garner could cover both Mainoo and Casemiro, but that position would be short if there's any long-term injuries there. McTominany could play both roles at a stretch. Bruno-Mount-Mainoo midfield is a bit untested but could be used late on in games, or a Bruno-McT-Mainoo midfield based on game position. I'd keep Casemiro for one more season just in case he bounces back from his slump and injuries. Finding a CDM is difficult and should be priority for 25/26.
Todibo would be the only major signing. From the Barcelona academy so he should be used to possession-style. Plus he has INEOS connections. Unless there's offers for them, I'd keep Lindelof and Maguire around as backups plus Evans as an absolute last resort CB.
Ideally, I'd like a LB/CB backup but I've gone for Archie Brown. Never seen him play but has good traits that could molded into a decent player for either LB or CB. Either Shaw can be the emergency LCB or one of Lindelof/Maguire if Martinez is out or needs rest. I'd prefer Dalot being used as LB if Shaw needs rest or is out. If AWB gets an offer then he can leave. In that case, a cheeky bid for Geertruida wouldn't be too bad and he can be cover for all 4 positions.
