>>>The window for the Premier league has closed and we were unable to do any more business on deadline day, with a transfer for young Moroccan leftback Mendyl falling through due to work-permit issues. Unai Emery has also since confirmed that he is still looking to off-load Ospina, Jenkinson, and Campbell before other leagues close their transfer windows.
Arsenal transfer news and rumours ranked weak/medium/strong based on their sources.
Any player with (*) next to their name is a player we are linked to that is not in the FIFA database.
CONFIRMED:

>Stephan Lichtsteiner / RB / free: Arsenal's first confirmed signing of the 2018 summer transfer window, the experienced rightback comes in on a free transfer from Juventus. He will wear the number 12.
>Bernd Leno / GK / £22.5m: Arsenal's second signing under new management, Leno comes in after spending 7 seasons at Bayer Leverkusen where he made 233 league appearances. The player has officially taken the #19 kit (wtf).
>Sokratis Papastathopoulos / CB / £17.6m: the transfer for this experienced and aggressive CB from Dortmund has been confirmed after months of him being linked with Arsenal. He will take the #5 Jersey.
>Lucas Torreira / (CM/CDM) / £26m: after months of rumours and speculation, the transfer for the Uruguayan Lion to Arsenal has been completed. He arrives after an impressive showing for his country at the World Cup and will take the #11 kit (yes, seriously).
>Mattéo Guendouzi / (CM/CDM) / £7m: after missing out on Yacine Adli, Arsenal look set to sign another young french prospect, with the transfer set to be finalized within the week. Though there has yet to be an official statement from Arsenal, the player was filmed signing his 5 year deal in the London-based offices. He will wear the #29
>*Sam Greenwood / ST / Compensation Fee: at 16 years old he is considered one of Sunderland's highest rated academy players, and now looks set to make a switch to Arsenal's youth academy. Just like the signing of Mattéo, there has been no official statement from the club, but the player confirmed the transfer on his instagram today
>*Joel Lopez / LB / Compensation Fee: the young LB had been linked to Arsenal for months, and after confirming that he would not be renewing his contract with his boyhood club he has now (unofficially) confirmed that he is an Arsenal player on his Instagram, as of July 17th.
>>>Outs:
>Per Mertesacker / CB / retired [Staff Role]: Arsenal's captain retired at the end of this season and has taken up a staff role at the club, dealing with the club's youth academy.

>Jack Wilshere / (CM/CDM/CAM) / free [West Ham]: after 17 years at Arsenal Jack is set to leave when his contract expires. Officially joined West Ham on July 9th.

>>>Loans:
>Takuma Asano / (LM/CF/RM) / one-year loan [Hannover]: work permit issues mean that the Japanese international will be spending a 3rd consecutive season away from Arsenal
>*Kelechi Nwakali / (CAM/RW) / one-year loan [FC Porto]: another player struggling to get an English work permit. He will spend the season on loan at Porto with the option for them to buy.
>Matt Macey / GK / one-year loan [Plymouth Argyle]: the 6'6 keeper is set to spend the season at League One side Plymouth, after impressing in the few chances he was given in the first team, but falling down the pecking order with the signing of Leno and with Emiliano back from loan.
>>>Outs:
[STRONG]
>David Ospina / GK / £2m loan + £6m option to buy [Besiktas]: the backup keeper is set to leave Arsenal with the arrival of Leno and Cech being pushed to second choice. With Besiktas losing their first choice keeper, Fabri, it is looking likely they will bring in Ospina to replace him.
>Joel Campbell (RM/LM/CAM) / £6m [Olympiacos]: the misfit winger appears to finally be on the way out after seasons of underwhelming performances and unsuccessful loans. Lazio reportedly looking to bring him in if they lose Felipe Anderson to West Ham.
>Carl Jenkinson / RB / £?
CONTRACT NEWS:
[CONFIRMED]
>Ainsley Maitland-Niles: 14 years after signing his first contract with Arsenal, he has signed a new long-term contact with the club after having a very impressive season. He will now wear the number 15.
>Granit Xhaka: two years after signing for Arsenal, the player has signed a new long term contract and will also be switching to the number 34 jersey.
>Calum Chambers: said to be highly rated by new coach Emery, Chambers has signed a new long-term contract, not even a year after signing his last extension with Arsenal.
>Alex Iwobi: only days after rumours of him leaving the Arsenal emerged, it came to light that the player has been offered a new 4 year deal bumping his wage £70k/week. The contract was accepted have the team returned from the tour in Singapore.
>Emile Smith-Rowe: the attacking midfield prospect has signed his first long-term professional contract with the club after impressing during pre-season
>Harry Clarke, Jordan McEneff and Tobi Omole have signed their first professional contracts at Arsenal.
[NEWS]
>Aaron Ramsey: Contract negotiations have been going on for a while but sources close to the club are saying that they are close to an agreement, with other sources suggesting Unai Emery plans to make Ramsey a key player in this Arsenal side. There still seems to be some distance between Ramsey's agent's demands and what the club are willing to offer, with Ramsey admitting he is not involved in the process at this point and he's not sure where the negotiations will end up; however it sounds like it's more of a 'when' he will sign, and not an 'if'.
>Reiss Nelson: the highly-rated youngster is rumoured to be in talks to sign a new 5-year deal with the club. He is considered among the biggest young talents in England, and wit his current contract set to expire next summer with clubs like Real Madrid lurking, this would be huge for the club.
