Summer 2020: The FA find Manchester City guilty of breaching FA rules with regard to spending and recruiting of young players. The club is ordered to pay £200 million in compensation and will be relegated to play the 2020/21 season in the EFL Championship.
In light of this the club’s Abu Dhabi owners have placed the club on the stock market and are offering a discounted price for a quick sale.
The club will now look to offload any playing staff that do not fall into a strict new £50k a week salary, with the exception of new club captain John Stones. All players out on loan have been recalled and the club will look to get the most out of its youth system.
