So I finally made the decision: I will be the manager of Sassuolo
I left China after an incredible season as a Guangzhou Evergrande coach. I won the Chinese Super League unbeaten and lifted the Asian Champions League Trophy. They are already 2 trophies to the cabinet and it's only the first season of this Coach To Glory. At the end of the season I looked at the job offers and I finally chose Sassuolo instead of the other 2 teams I was mostly thinking about (Nordsjælland and Velez Sarsfield).
In the 12th of January 2020, I was offically appointed as a Sassuolo manager. The team was in 12th place then comfortably above Genoa and only a few points behind Bologna. My goal was the top half, which looked like an easy job. The team was a circus because of some CPU signings, retirements. loan and endings etc. I mostly selled players in the window. Abdelhamid came handly for me he was a decent centre back signed by the computer. I won my first game on 18th January against Torino, the match ended 4-2. then we had some tough games and I've lost 3 and drew 1 from the upcoming 7 matches. At the end of the season we got back to form and finished 9th above teams like Sampdoria, Udinese or Parma. The season ended recently and this is how I would look like if I would keep some loaned players. My budget is 34.5M so I could easily afford players with expired loans or maybe I could just bring in new players. Can't wait for next season!
