Second year. The team is hungry.
The transfer market, in comparison to the last season, is slow. Some high-profile players who simply weren't delivering get sacked for a considerable amount of cash, such as Miranchuk, Tierney and Neres. Fabregas sweettalks Dani Ceballos, former gunners player, and Diogo Jota, at the end of his contract at Wolves, to join Arsenal for free. The Starting XI is the same as it was in the previous year, plus these two guys.
Alex Nubel is sold for a whopping amount of money, which makes way for some real class - Gigi Donnarumma is now the man between the sticks. Cèsc goes for some depth, bringing in solid, match-fit players for occasional subbing in for injuried players. Last season's gambles pay off - Davies, Mukiele, Aarons, Soyuncu and Traoré are on another level. The Youth Academy is producing some very interesting players.
Arsenal gets knocked out on the Carabao Cup by Manchester United, and finish the Premier League as runners-up. However, Fabregas manages to achieve something new in the history of the club - the UCL title. Oh, and the FA Cup also.
There's A LOT of money in the bank.
