Mount will be crucial for the team and will play most of the games though not starting all but he ain’t fighting with Kovačić (who is our player of the year on self right) for a starting spot, most likely he’ll be competing with Pulisic, while also be rotating with Havertz and Ziyech (though I believe Ruben and Callum will be their rotation). With this I’m not saying he won’t be rotating with Kovačić too now and then but most definitely it’s not his fight. And I’ll put you this is consideration, assuming Kanté will sit back to help the defense, neither Havertz nor Mount are suited to drive the ball in the second third of the pitch, they’re better further on. Our best players to do that are Loftus-Cheek and Kovačic with the latter being far superior right now. (perhaps Barkley could be counted too but he takes so many bad decisions on the final third that it pisses me off) Btw we didn’t pay that much for Havertz to have him sit on the bench, he’ll start right away every time he’s fit enough.
avatar
well I'm hoping he's Chelsea manager for like 12 years so after that sure but hopefully not any time soon bc that would mean he got sacked at Chelsea
avatar
I think building loyalty and a club that actually has a soul, rather than a machine that sells any player who's underperformed for a season for a significant loss is much more important. Caballero isn't good enough for us either but he didn't cost £80m. It's the club's responsibility to the fans, Kepa and the price tag to do everything possible to get him to a good standard. Buying a strong second choice would be an excellent decision. Caballero, like I said, isn't good enough and he'll retire or leave soon so we need another second choice anyway. This second choice can replace Kepa if he isn't good enough and then we can sell Kepa after we've exhausted all effort into him. Then, a first-choice can be bought next season.
avatar
Just won player of the season. Has been so class and is underrated by EA. Should be 86/89 if we are being 100% real
avatar
4231 will get the best out of Kante, but I think Werner would struggle in a 4231. I also don't think we looked very good when we played 4231 last season. 433 is probably the best. Rudiger should be as far away from the starting xi as possible, Zouma is 100% our best CB, Rudiger is 100% our worst. We also need a proper DM. Pulisic-Werner-Ziyech Kante-Rice-Havertz Chilwell-Silva-Zouma-James Maignan Bench: Caballero, Ampadu, Azpilicueta, Gilmour, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Abraham Is our best team in my opinion if we sign Rice and Maignan(which looks likely). It's also what I think Lampard will play most of the games.

It all depends, there are at least two kinds of fans here. There’s the type that like Abramovich to spend money and say let’s win and then there’s others (like myself) who understand that this is a rebuilding phase and shits gonna take time regardless of the department. If we get Havertz that’s 80+, Chilwell another 50, I don’t see why we should have to go spend big on a #1 spot. We need to look for someone of the age range you mentioned and who would also not mind sitting the bench if Kepa’s form comes back (almost like Begovic did). I for one am personally one for seeing a players career advance, so if that means giving him another chance I’m in for it.
avatar
If we actually finish this window with Ziyech, Werner, Havertz, Chilwell, T. Silva (and maybe even Onana or a GK of that ilk) my mind will be blown. What signings and what a bloody statement of intent! You love to see it after a year of no activity. When was the last time we signed this many first team players too? I'm well aware it's probably unlikely we sign Onana, it's just a what if... Oof, I'm so buzzing for next season, gonna be very exciting football happening for Chelsea fans

Attributes Incoming Players to Chelsea must Possess that we desperately need to solve our issues: + GK that can Command his box - Comfortable with BALL TO FEET - Able to play out of the back in a High Line system - Consistent Shot stopper. + Center Half that is a Leader - Has great positional awareness and great concentration - Comfortable on the ball and able to carry the ball from the back - Preferably Left footed - Equally competent in the air as with the ground - Firm and not easily Outmuscled. - Must have Pace inorder to be compatible with a High line, cannot be too Slow. +Defender that is Rapid on the left and able to Overlap and provide offensive support, as well as have the pace to get back and help cover defensively. - Must have solid defensive awareness and positioning - Must be a Competent to Great Crosser of the ball - Should have decent Stamina - Must be good on the ball. +Midfielder that is able to perform the holding role properly - Able to Shield the backline without constantly moving out of position and getting vulnerable to counter attacks - Must be able to link the defense to the attack with effective passing - Comfortable on the ball. +Attacker that is Excellent at Finishing chances - Technically astute - Good at creating chances. I believe we have covered the Attackers part with our recent signings, and should all but seal this with the Havertz signing. The rest are still desperately needed. So its not about ANY Player that is available. You can't just throw ANY NAME out there, it has to make sense and Fit the system and what we're trying to achieve. Random reports will come out and link anyone with Chelsea, but most are Questionable as hell. We have to be careful.

Situations of Players linked to Chelsea FC this Summer as follows: Kai Havertz: Almost a done deal. Personal terms agreed. Player wants Out, had already talked to Lampard and is Impressed with the Project. Also wants to play UCL football. His parent company are reportedly trying to hold out for a full fee in the region of £90M(€100M). However Leverkusen will be more flexible than their other German rival Dortmund, and will negotiate for a lower fee, most likely in the region of €80m-€90m. Chelsea will Finalize soon. Ben Chilwell: Player wants to play UCL football, would be interested in playing for Lampard. Leicester however is still demanding in the region of £70m-£80m as per reports, to buy him out of his 4 year remaining Contract. Chelsea will be reluctant to go that high and would try to negotiate. Player may have to try and force his way out via Transfer request or will have to stay depending on Leicester stance. Declan Rice: Player would be interested. West Ham are demanding a Massive £80M for the player according to reports. West Ham have some Financial issues at the moment and one of them in particular is struggling to pay Frankfurt the remaining transfer fee for Haller. West Ham would welcome some money but nothing too low, as Rice is still their Prize asset. Nicolas Tagliafico: Player is interested in the Premier league and is reportedly seeking a new challenge. Andre Onana: It has been reported the Player has also been a fan of the Premier League, that's all we know for now. Jan Oblak: Player would not mind plying his trade in the EPL. However the Player has a Staggering Release Clause of €120M as per reports. Sergio Reguilon: Real Madrid has set his price between £25m-£30m according to reports. Chelsea will have to wait until Sevilla exits or wins the Europa league before this saga gains any momentum. I still have Yet to see Chelsea seriously being linked with any REAL CB. But I guess beggars can't be choosers sometimes. We also need to get some Player sales in desperately if we are to fund Alot more potential incomings. We still have over a month to get our Transfer business in order though. So Patience is the key at this time.

I think that back line will struggle for the first 5 or 6 games, which will cause Lamps to throw in Rudiger for Zouma and Azpi for James. But after that I can see this working out quite nicely.
avatar
79/88. So well rounded and physically gifted, he has a much higher ceiling than AWB. One day I can see him giving Trent a run for his money as the best right-back in the country. With Mason, he is the best academy talent we have produced
avatar
Koulibaly is just an older Zouma on steroids
avatar
Dan Burn.....? DAN FUCKING BURN?!!!?? we can’t afford him mate are you OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND
avatar
it makes all the sense in world which is while we’ll pay £60m for Matt Targett
avatar
yes, he’s the heartbeat of brighton and by far and away their best player, from what ive seen he’s like the better version of maguire it’s not like drinkwater or bakayoko who were made to look better than they were by having great players around them Dunk is THE BEST player in his squad by a country mile and is an absolute leader and organizer the question is if he’s capable of playing at not just a high level but THE highest level however I think he can and a signing like him is so much safer and more reliable than a lot of these CBs we’re linked to
avatar
We need to understand as a Fanbase that Rome wasnt built in a day, its gonna take 2-3 windows, maybe even 4 to transform into Solid Contenders. If we do it in less we are very fortunate or made the perfect moves to cover multiple issues. Only time will tell.
avatar
Remember Giminez is very much injury proned, thats where the red flag is. But if our medical staff can do better for him then he will work wonders for us.
avatar
Athletico want 109M for giminez so idk what u talking about
avatar
Honnestly our cbs are so inconsistent that its hard to predict. I think Rudiger was pretty good when played with a leader by his side (luiz, cahill). Zouma was maybe our best cb this season even if its not worth alot and there is Christensen who can be world class some day and the worst PL cb the day after.
avatar
Woodward is a rich dunce, Marina is a boss mf also, every big purchase is paid in installments, never EVER is is paid all up front and that Sancho installment you listed would actually probably be what Dortmund want or close to it I bet Man Utd are offering way less up front + less after 1 season, spreading it out over more seasons and adding clauses and bonuses
avatar
30 million for Lewis dunk I want it done
avatar
Oh, that was super funny. Haha.
avatar
If rumors are to be believed, Reguilón is an extremely good compromise on getting someone really good at attacking (Telles) and someone really good at defending (Tagliafico). A better Chilwell. We are able to sign a LB who is 3 years younger than Tagliafico and only a few months older than Chilwell for a pittance compared to the rumored Chilwell price. Makes absolute sense imo. Lampard needs to get out of this fantasy that spending 70 million on Chilwell alone is actually feasible.
avatar
Reguilon > Chilwell
avatar
Issues Chelsea need to work on, Completely Eradicate or tone down couple Notches for Next season goes as follows: - Goalkeeper that is a Consistent Shot Stopper BUT ALSO can COMMAND his area successfully - DEFENDING Properly example: Anticipation, Awareness, Timing of challenges - Defending SET PIECES - OFFSIDE TRAP - Keeping the Team Shape throughout the game. Compactness ( consistent block) - INDIVIDUAL ERRORS - COMPOSURE - COMMUNICATION - LEADERSHIP - CONCENTRATION - Protecting the Backline - Pace on the Flanks from the Fullbacks to not only Overlap but be able to come back and Cover/help out defensively - Goals from Midfield - Crossing - Creativity( particularly from Midfield) - FINISHING( Clinical Finishing)
avatar
Rudiger has been a complete clown this season. Hopefully, Tomori, Christensen and Maatsen start vs Bayern. They will slaughter us but I don't want to watch those donkeys anymore.
avatar
Oh my goodness. Just so you know, you made me do this. 1. VAR was on your side all the time (every penalty except for 1 or 2 should not have been a penalty). 2. You spent money on Fernandes, AWB, Maguire, and James (200 million). 3. Chelsea played a lot of their youngsters while you played your experienced players. 4. Chelsea were unable to sign any new players. 5. We lost Hazard who was our best player last season. 6. You are only 3rd on goal difference The stupidity and haughtiness of you Manchester United fans surprises me every time.

Rice —> in Onana —> in Tagliafico —> in Havertz —> in Kepa —> out Jorginho —> out Emerson —> out Christensen —> out
avatar
he should be let go, honestly should go back to Spain bc he did fairly well there and it suits his playstyle, Portugal would be good for him too
avatar
I think its over for Musonda at Chelsea. Hes too injury prone now. He should've broke in the side earlier. Showed alot of promise back then..not so much now. He still still good but the Ship for him has sailed I believe. If Lampard and co plan to give him another chance he would still have to go out on 1 more loan cause his last one was cut short due to said injuries. During that time he needs to impress..then maybe Frank will consider him again.
avatar
RIP TO ALL MAN U FANS WHO SPOKE TOO SOON
avatar
Wait a minute.
avatar
Jorginho hands down. Kante is not a DM by role. He is a Box 2 Box destroyer, works best paired with another midfielder.
avatar

avatar
I agree. I always thought Rudiger was our best CB, hopefully he regains it. Tomori is coming back from injury, so I doubt we will play him right now. Unless He's really near 100%.
avatar
Ahh, I understand. We are on the same page then. I also agree that we should back up Kepa, partially because it is really our only choice. Onana would be a gamble, and to me, a worthwhile one but I don't see that happening at all.
avatar
Come to chelsea 🔵🔵🔵🔵
avatar
Agreed! Christensen is great on ground duels and Zouma is great in aerial battles. Complimentary to each other's plays.
avatar
Dominant perfomance it was basically a training in the second half Best players for me in this game was zouma the great wall and pulisic Pulisic has been improving rapidly and im very happy with what hes offering
avatar
Kepa has been a Scapegoat this whole season because of our Appalling Defending as a unit on a whole, which is utterly ridiculous. I will never forget what he did in his debut season behind the like of Luiz and co btw. He has made some mistakes this season but hes not as terrible as how folks around here have him out to be. Still has alot of potential.
avatar
Tons of people started a vendetta against Kepa but truth is, even Oblak wouldn’t have saved most of the goals we’ve conceded due our shitty defense.
avatar
Considering, most of the times Alonso is found in the opponent's penalty box when teams counter attack against us, he does a really good job. People will see how good he is when we get a good left back to support him.
avatar
Telles..but the club will go for Chilwell
avatar
I have to give huge props to Lampard, even though he is reletively inexperienced he seems to be doing a fantastic job at Chelsea. He might yet become a legendary manager.
avatar
I just read an article that said Guendouzi handed in a transfer request and I haven't laughed that hard in a while
avatar
Nice stuff bro
avatar
GK K.Arrizzabalaga RB R.James RCB A.Rüdiger LCB D.Upamecano LB B.Chilwell ( Ajax LB is more fiscally realistic) CDM N.Kanté (do not put kante in a single pivot) RCM M.Mount LCM M.Kovacic RW H.Ziyech ST T. Abraham LW T.Werner . Have werner play LW and come in like a forward. He needs a partnership to excel. I hate saying this but Kovacic is better off in the CDM spot than Kante. Put Kante where you had Kovacic and Kante would play much better. Have RLC and mount own the RCM position. As for the aerial threat up top, you solve it with Abraham. Only two signings needed to complete this lineup. Chilwell and Upamecano which I think would be bring good balance and stability to the back line. My two cents.
avatar
Arsenal need to brighton up before they buy anbody
avatar
As soon as big names coming up on the transfers, you Chelsea fans are your old self again going after the title every season by buying and buying and buying. Totally screwing over your academy boys, Fuck our “new Lampard academy philosophy” and yay russian Oil money
avatar
WiFi will finish top scorer next season.
avatar
Let's be real here, it's because of his hair. You can't possibly look like that and expect to be a good defender.
