Basically it doesn't mean anything at all. SoFIFA's calculator isn't just working correctly. Only important thing is the player's real ovr. Javi for example has 78, which SoFIFA indicates as 76+2. When you convert his position to CB in game, that ovr 80 from SoFIFA's calculator is comparable with 76 as CDM. In game his ovr will increase by four (CDM->CB) and he will be 84 rated. If SoFIFA calculator would work correctly it would say 80+2 at CB.
