Massive performance in the Concacaf Champions league last night. Came on at halftime and assisted a goal and created 3 chances in 45 minutes of play. Esmir easily stood out in both legs and has looked like one of the Revs best players through 3 games to start the season, and that isn't easy to do for someone so young. Mark my words when I say he'll be insane this season.

Esmir looks set to make a good amount of noise this season. New head coach Caleb Porter says that as things stand right now, Esmir is the Revs starting right winger for the upcoming season. Based on what we've seen from him with the Olympic group and with the USMNT last month, that's an exciting proposition. In addition to his play with the national team, Esmir was excellent in MLS Next Pro last year and showed some serious flashes with the Revs first team. He has the ability to consistently make things happen in the attacking third on the field. Don't expect him to stay in the MLS very long, especially if he capitalizes on a starting role this year.
