I had enormous respect for Buffon when he was playing at his peak from 2006-2012 At that time, I was still kinda new to football and wasn't rooting for any particular club. But I was supporting Germany at the World Cup and Euros, but when they faced Italy I saw how God-like Buffon was and his performance at the 2006 WC final and Euro 2012 semi-final made my jaw drop! He truly is a living legend and arguably the greatest GK of the early-mid 2000s era, but needs to hang up his gloves! The man is pushing 41 and destroying his legacy. He should've retired 5 years ago when he had the chance.
