I think Mctominay & Zakaria would be miles better than Mctominay and Fred. Zakaria is much much (did I say much?) more comfortable defensively and that will mean Mctominay can focus on his attributes more. Mctominay looks more comfortable offensively than defensively. Having a physical presence in the final third can be a game-changer.

rice and ndidi might play the same positions and are both of similar qualities but they play very differently ndidi is known for his defensive attributes, tackling, covering space, pressing, interceptions etc, and his on-ball attributes aren't his strenghts. rice is the opposite, i can't judge him that much because i don't watch him week in, week out so i may be wrong but he seems to me more of an all around cdm, not a specialist in one region, but does everything you expect from a modern cdm this is why so many people debate the man utd cdm options, if they want a pure ball winner, defensive player in the 6 who can win the ball back and just leave the rest of the playmaking to the other mids, than ndidi is your guy, but if you want an all around, better offensive cdm, rice is the option

Ole didn't have his best day today, both tactically. I think it was personally a mistake to go to a diamond and to play both Pogba and VDB in this game from the start knowing it's likely he would have to bring both off at some-point. Fred should have come off at half-time at the very least. But let's put this into perspective, losing to 3rd in the league away is not the end of the world. That isn't a sackable offence. I'm frustrated with Ole today but Ole has us 2nd in the league and that's our first loss in 2 months. We've only lost 4 times in the league, and with better investment out-wide and up-top, a lot of our draws would have turned into wins. Let's add further perspective. For me, Rodgers is a better manager than Ole. I don't doubt that one bit but still sacking Ole isn't the answer right now. How many of those Leicester players would you buy? or would get into our team? I'd comfortably like to buy or would get into our team at the moment, Tielemans & Ndidi would improve our midfield options, Pereira would add some attack from our RB position. Barnes would be an improvement and let's be honest, he'd get into our team on the RW at this moment in time. Any one of the 3 of their CBs would probably improve some of ours. Vardy is better than our strikers, Ihenacho on form probably better than both strikers too. What I'm getting at, is Leicester are a good team, and despite my frustration with Ole today, that result wasn't 100% on the manager. Losing to Leicester isn't the end of the world, they are still a very decent team with a very good manager and I'm not angry at losing to Leicester. I'm disappointed at everyones performance including the managers but still even if we had performed, there's no guarantee we would have won.
