honestly i thought ange was too stubborn and may not be a top manager but u gotta respect his mentality. probably the only reason spurs put up a fight in a game they wouldve been happy to lose and even apart from that he has arrogance and an aura that people would've appreciated if he was at a better club

As someone else said (don't remember who exactly), at this point in the season, it's all about collecting Ws. We've seen the sustainable football from this team over the last couple years, but in these crunch moments, it literally just is about the 3 points. I personally think it's wild how much criticism Utd are getting for this game in particular. They were a dead team with the worst 11 I've seen from a Utd team in a long time (maybe forever). But they really held their own. Looking at the quality and form of the 2 teams, you'd expect us to kill them. The fact that we only narrowly beat them is honestly an achievement by ten Hag and the players.

Haven't done one of these in a while bc life has been busy but quick thoughts on United game. Thought it was a fairly underwhelming performance, lack of ball progression through the midfield and we struggled to build any sustained pressure in our attacking half. I actually think ETH set united up really well in the match, he blocked the lines nicely and prevented quick balls out to the wingers. Partey in particular wasn't given much room to play his line splitting passes which led to him having a pretty poor match. All of our attacking players didn't see heaps of the ball, however all it took was one nice moment from Havertz and Trossard. Defending from Casemiro was unforgivable but Havertz being so aware of this is amazing. He is such an intelligent player. Trossard with another clutch goal, his end product is just superb. Defending once again winning us the match. Saliba was my motm, think he's becoming underrated now. Seen plenty saying big Gabby has had a better season then him... nah man. Big Gabby is unreal but Saliba just simply is the best CB in this league. Loving how we are winning different types of games atm, blew Chelsea away, rode our luck and were clinical at Spurs, battered Bournemouth and ground out a win at United. Different performances, tough away matches but we are consistently finding wasy to win at the time in the season where it is hardest to do just that. Lovely stuff and so proud of this team regardless of what happens.

Putting all our faith into Spurs winning us the league… Life is a hilarious thing man.

As someone who's also sure the title is already over, I honestly think the funniest aspect of this entire thing is how Spurs fans have dealt with it. The fact that most of them want their own team to lose... ah man, it's hilarious, and it's so indicative of that club and its fans. The mental gymnastics and copium has just so perfectly encapsulated the Tottenham Hotspur experience and the loser mentality in that club. So fucking funny.

Look I have zero hope. Zero. It's done and I know it. However.... If you asked me the best and funniest way we could possibly win a title, Spurs doing us a favour when their whole fanbase wants them to lose would be it. This has the potential to be sung about for centuries. I will leave it at that.
