Why do you wanna waste his career? XD, I mean he can be the star of a mid-low team, rather than be on the bench of a top team for the rest of his life

The way Mali constantly regenerates quality midfielders is just abysmal. Over the years they have constantly been able to train highlevel midfielders : Seydou Keita, Momo Sissoko, Mahamadou Diarra in the past, Mo Camara, Haïdara, Samassekou, Bissouma... today. I dont see any team in Africa with so much quality/quantity in midfield. The fact is that Mali very often disappoints during the African Cups when they always have high quality squads.
avatar
He is playing very well at Libertad in Paraguay, this season he scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists. In the last three seasons he has had decent numbers for his role.
avatar
This is more accurate. I don’t think EA should cater to FUT users. They should make the stats realistic like how they are in real life

Might be worth a mention, keep an eye on some of the academy lads in the upcoming months, especially two 15 year olds called Harrison Miles and Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez. Both are very important players already for the u18's, and Rodriguez noticeably has already scored for u21's on his debut no less. We will be lucky to hold on to them both, and hopefully one of them (probably AGR) can possibly make his debut for the first team in the near future. https://sofifa.com/player/13429964/alejandro-gomes-rodriguez/240006/

This happened last year. It's just a database error. In the next update, he will receive the same overall grade as he had. He'll have 88 again.
avatar
It's a loan I believe. I don't think we would be selling him straight away, I heard rumour of a £35 million figure for a permanent buy option Problem is, because of the way we play football, he doesn't exactly fit into this team. Alcaraz is better with dribbling and breaking the line, but with our midfield 3 the manager wants players such as S.armstrong, Downes and Smallbone who are better at passing the ball since we play on possession, and so create chances this way I'm sure he would do far better in a team that suits him more, and since Charly is only 21, he's only going to get better

Flashy player but lacks end product. A season in the championship could do him a world of good. Doesn’t look ready for the prem yet. I doubt he’ll leave so soon
avatar
Hope for the best, but always prepare for the worst, and it’s time that our support start preparing for the championship. I’m wholeheartedly disappointed in this season, and I’ll be heartbroken to probably see Ward-prowse leave, along with Walker-peters, Salisu, Lavia and many other talented players we have. I can’t imagine us without James Ward Pee, but we WILL have to make do and accept the harsh truths from now on. Sounds crazy, but I actually think Man City would be a reasonable destination for him, gundogan will leave and they need a replacement, and him linking up with Haaland will be beautiful. I can’t blame Ruben, I think he’s a wonderful bloke, but his squad simply isn’t good enough. And I feel very sorry for our supporters which have been through enough over the last 6 years, just put us out of our misery please

I'm probably in an increasingly small minority here in thinking that relegation is neither a sure thing, nor a good opportunity for a 'reset'. The concept of bouncing back or rebuilding in lower divisions is not supported by the history of the Premier League, with only 1 in 5 clubs returning to the PL the season after relegation. On average it takes clubs 2.5 seasons to return to the PL and back to back relegations isn't impossible, either (Sunderland, Portsmouth and Wolves experienced this in the last 15 years). My concern is that rather than emulate Burnley, there is a very real chance that Saints could go down and stay down like West Brom, Stoke or Swansea. There's so many factors in determining success in the Championship, but looking at Burnley they've got two things very right: 1) Vincent Kompany, and 2) Nathan Tella. The former is simultaneously a good manager, legend of the game capable of attracting ambitious players *and* has an extensive knowledge of a financially weak league (Belgian Pro) that they took advantage of in the market. Whereas in Tella's breakout season he's got 20 goal contributions or ~30% of club total. While it's gone extremely well for Burnley, had they not got those decisions very right next season could have been disastrous. Parachute payments (key income) drop by a 1/3rd, top performers tend to leave and costs would likely remain the same/increase. Back to Southampton, while we could definitely sell some of high-earners, I'm not so sure about others. Ibrahima Diallo is on 55k a week, and Aribo & Orsic are at near 80k. If they didn't secure transfers out of the club they could majorly debilitate the club's financial strength, as was the case at Stoke where they were paying the likes of Berahino, Shawcross and Joe Allen £50k a week to finish 16th out of 24. Enough negativity though, I'm still of the belief that Saints can avoid the drop. Our last performance, while dire, was against an extremely negative West Ham setup that could have easily been a draw. We have some difficult games coming but also some favourable ones. Nottingham, Bournemouth, Palace and Fulham are all going to be tight games. The dedication is there, hit a run of form and we can definitely stay up. 9 matches to go, COYS.
avatar
- Bottom of the Premier League so they are in need of a rebuild. - New faces for some of the players. - Young players with good potential. Damn, a Southampton career mode is looking 🔥
avatar
Pretty decent, looked calm carrying the ball, obviously not perfect but it was his first game. Also made a massive header in the final minutes to deny Everton, so decent debut
avatar
Everybody behind Jones. We can do this. Ward-prowse is back to his best in a more advanced role, captain fantastic. Excellent from the manager today and the players are working their socks off

It's so surreal to watch him grow into the player and person that he is becoming, almost emotional for me - and for a lot of other Brøndby fans. I had my sabbatical year in 2017-2018 and would occasionally ride my bike 15 minutes to go and watch the Brøndby under-19 team. Back then, Lindstrøm (or Jobbe, as we call him) was a lanky, long-haired kid and the standout talent with another kid called Peter Bjur. At that time, most of us Brøndby fans had only heard about him because of his older brother (who is a massive Brøndby fan as well and always in the stands) - he would occasionally tell people about his little brother playing for the academy - and that kid was Jesper Lindstrøm. Most of the time when he was in the academy, no one expected him to become professional or anything special, it was mostly because of his brothers and himself being the stands that people even knew his name - he could barely get on the first team at under-17 because he was too small and frail. Then, he had a growth spurt, gained so much pace and suddenly became a standout player in his last year on that under-19 team I mentioned. Now he is playing regularly for Frankfurt and is on his way to becoming one of the most sought after offensive players in the world. It's just.. absurd. Unlike most danish footballers that are usually spoiled and from middle/upper-class families, he grew up in Brøndby Strand, which is a really rough area compared to most of Denmark and Scandinavia. He may look like a typical scandinavian kid, but he's not at all. I think his development has a lot to do with determination and hard work because of his background. I remember there was an interview with a fan media of Brøndby from when he was only 17 or 18 years old. He was asked about where he wanted to be in 5 years. His dream was to break through for the senior team in Brøndby and winning the championship (which happened for the first time in 16 years), secure Brøndby IF financially with a transfer to a club in a top 4 league (also happened) play for the national team (also happened) and to go to Liverpool eventually - that could very well happen. Football may be dying, but there are still some beautiful stories to be told.

Livramento rating is fine considering he’s been injured. Lavia needs to be way higher than 68. Other than that I agree
avatar
Proof that EA gives Youth Players just random stats instead of watching them
avatar
For one Pepi was born and raised in the US and Siebatcheu was raised in France and I would say that when he started playing for the national team he probably knew very little English. Siebatcheu is 100% less American than Pepi. Even Ferreira has lived in America longer. Additionally you have a MEXICAN FLAG in your username.

Isn't it great how these late bloomers keep popping up and EA still gives them ratings five to ten points below what they should get? Savanier, Vardy, Papu Gomez... The only exception I can think of is Kanté, but he had to move to Chelsea first in order to get recognized. When young players do half as much as these late bloomers, they directly get a ten point higher rating. That doesn't add up somehow. The whole procedure doesn't make sense to me, but maybe I just have a few too many screws loose.

I think its because they dont change it until the new Fifa, but indeed he should be at least 76 with 84 potential on the new Fifa
avatar
EAids are on drugs again. Absolute lazy fuckers, those guys. First off, he had an amazing EL campaign with Rangers and they keep him at 68 overall with 78 potential. Then Ajax buy him for 23 million euros and they have decent scouting, as well as being one of the best youth development teams in the world, which should also be a sign that he's at least, pretty good. He did have a bad debut game in the Johan Cruijff Schaal for Ajax's first team against PSV, in which he received a justified red card only 16 minutes after being subbed in, for an unintended, reckless challenge and he had a mediocre 2nd game, for Jong Ajax too, with a couple of mistakes. In the 3 Eredivisie games since, he's been rock solid and has proven that he has a good physique, pace and is decent on the ball. All of his performances after his unfortunate first two games have been so good that people, including the media, have are starting to claim him to be sort of a missing link in defense already. IMO, though it's still early days, EA should have already given him an overall of 74-76 after his EL campaign and a potential of 83 or something. Trash EA, trash!

Greetings everybody. I had learnt that today there had been a leak from Ea with the southampton fifa 23 player ratings, somebody within Ea came out with this, all these ratings look very very accurate, but I'm only about 50% sure. So, if you want to wait a bit longer to hear them, then you can ignore this comment. If you don't wish the read the entire comment, then all I will say if that there were some unexpected upgrades, and some unexpected downgrades. These might not be official, but there's also a large chance there is, Ea accidently leaked every PL sides I believe, it's just the first time I've seen the supposed 'southampton player ratings'. GK: Bazunu 63 - 73 McCarthy 75 - 75 Lis 66 - 72 Caballero 73 - 72 DEF: Perraud 77 - 77 Walker-peters 77 - 78 Livramento 61 - 75 (huge jump) Bednarek 76 - 77 (yes, you read this right) Salisu 76 - 78 Bella-kotchap 71 - 73 Stephens 74 - 74 Lyanco 72 - 72 MID: Diallo 73 - 74 Lavia 62 - 65 Ward-prowse 81 - 82 Aribo 73 - 75 Elyounoussi 75 - 76 Redmond 76 - 76 Walcott 76 - 73 (Ouch) Djenepo 74 - 73 (Ouch) S.Armstrong 77 - 77 ATT: Adams 76 - 77 A.Armstrong 76 - 75 Mara 65 - 69

I hope you guys can stay up, and avoid even being in the relegation battle, I think Southampton deserves to stay in the Prem, and there's a bunch of teams that deserve to go down like Everton and Leeds

I was at the game and he looked so much taller than Salisu
avatar
From 71 pace in FIFA 20 to 83. What happened? Got faster after turning 30? lol
avatar
Brilliant player. Sometimes I think he’s too good for us. Deserves much higher dribbling stats, agility especially, 4 star skill moves, shooting and further stamina. If he continues his great development, he could potentially be a top 6 worthy full-back next season
avatar
Apparently Saints, Leicester and Fulham look the 3 most likely contenders for his signature at the moment. It would make very obvious sense for Levi to come here, seeing as he grew up in the area, but also how He'd know Dynel and Tino from the chelsea academy, and how he'd likely get a lot more game time than the likes of Arsenal, leicester and even everton. He'd thrive here. With bednarek most definitely outgoing, we'd also need a new centre-back, and this just screams southampton.

He's always impressed me every time I've watched him last season. Always somehow looks comfortable in and out of possession, while his composure and ability in both an attacking and defending sense is equally impressive. City could be on to a real gem here, and has potential to definitely be one of the best LB's in the premier league. Fair play to brighton's scouting as well, probably some of the most underrated signings in the last 2/3 seasons have come from the seagulls.

Full time RB Leipzig 3-1 Southampton: Despite the loss I was pleasantly surprised with a lot of players and the way Ralph managed the game, it was good to see the new boys get their debuts, and even diamond Edwards being given a chance. Negatives: - McCarthy is absolutely one of the worst PL goalkeepers I’ve ever watched - Romeu was sloppy just like the end of last season - Aribo ghosted for large parts of the game, tella was very sloppy as well - elyounoussi wasteful, djenepo reckless, but at the same time, oddly effective Postives: - We’ve found our new number 1 goalkeeper, Gavin Bazunu was absolutely excellent - Lavia bossed the midfield in the first half - Smallbone came on and surprisingly made a huge impact, his passing and technical abilities during the game were noticeably very impressive. - Small found some very good positions, as did smallbone and Adam Armstrong - salisu solid, Bella-Kotchap not too bad either - diamond edwards looked lively In conclusion, it’s not a terrible start despite the result, McCarthy generally at fault for all 3 goals + lyanco for the second one. Simeu wasn’t too bad, small although offside several times was dangerous offensively and reliable defensively. Good to see Ralph giving some chances to our younger players. MOTM, Honestly, Smallbone deserved it, or Bazunu
