Bodo/Glimt's coach will go far , superb really

Disclaimer: there is a possibility that he is not promising and he's just having a fairy tale season. He was released from the West Ham Youth academy back January '16. With not even a full season of championship football under his belt there isn't much evidence of long term consistency as I can't find much information from his time with Boreham Wood FC in non-league My attitude comes from this being too good a deal to miss out imo. Even if we paid twice his evaluation, hell, £4 million, Liverpool are great at selling players and in recent years have made healthy profits from 'flops' like Dominic Solanke, Danny Ward, Rhian Brewster, and even lesser names like Ovie Ejaria, Andre Wisdown and Ryan Kent. With Neco Williams wanting to leave we need a backup at RB and I feel like this is a fairly promising low risk transfer, and with Sorba Thomas full of confidence from a brilliant breakout season, being called up for the Welsh FA, signing for a top premier league side could boost his confidence even further and that momentum could be crucial to his development. Coming from non-league sharing a dressing room with products of Barcelona, Red Bull, and some of the most promising English talents in the game, why wouldn't he put in twice the amount of effort to work hard and prove himself?

I really think we should keep an eye on Huddersfield Town's Sorba Thomas. The 23 year old was the Championship player of the month in september, joining the club from non-league football, and he has 3 goals and 11 assists this season (in all competitions.) The only other player in all top four english tiers to get that many assists is TAA. He likes to dribble, cross, shoot from distance and is good on set pieces. However his defending isn't the greatest, only 48% tackle success, and his completed passes is only 67%, but 47 chances created, 8 assists and 1 goal in 15 games of your first season in league football is quite impressive to me. Neco Williams may be more promising, but this lad is only valued at £1.35 million. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he was to join a squad with a brilliant developmental coach like Jurgen Klopp, working with some of the top professionals in the world, he could become a brilliant backup right back. I'm sure he would be more than honoured to jump from mid/playoff Championship to sit on the bench at Liverpool, and this hypothetical transfer could mimick that of Ben Davies or Andy Robertson. Cheap with a lot of potential and experience, either a solid backup option we could loan out and sell for profit, or could develop into the squad really well. What are your thoughts?

Mbappe, CB and possibly Haaland. I think the rest can be filled out with our academy players, Miguel and Blanco have impressed me. Courtois, Lunin Carvajal, Lucas Militao, ?? Alaba, Nacho Mendy, Miguel Modric, Fede Casemiro, Blanco Kroos, Camavinga Mbappe, Asensio Benzema / Haaland Vinicius, Rodrygo
avatar
Ancelotti will leave as soon as he has a bad season, this is how Real Madrid works. Pau Torres and Barella aren't good signings for us, both are quite overrated and cost too much for their actual value

Paper over the cracks imo. Our attack is 6th best in the league but our defence is 3rd worse. Last 8 games we have scored 20 goals. Thats nearly 3 goals a game. Issue is we concede much much more. Ricardo and Barnes didn't come back from their long term injuries as the same players and I don't think Fofana or Justin will either. Our medical team has beem shit for years hence why our players are always injured. Evans is getting injured too much now cuz hes old and Soyuncu has lost all confidence since Turkey's NT commited national treason in the Euros. Tielemans and Maddison won't sign new contracts. Plus side is KDH and Daka look very good and Iheanacho can play upfront with Daka to replace Maddison and Vardy. Schmeichel had a good game today but he is the reason why we concede so many corners. He never claims the ball at set pieces and he usually has terrible distribution. He has very good shot stopping ability but he is responsible for 1/3 of the shots he has to face. Not to.mention he is ageing. We need a New RB and 2 new CBs and a ball playing keeper to slowly replace Schmiechel. If we sell off Maddison, Tielemans and Soyuncu we can bring some players in. If we fail at getting a decent defence next year we fall into lower mid table. If we nail our recruitment at defence we will finish around top 7. This game will paper over the cracks imo. I don't see Amartey and Vesterguard as a viable defence partnership and Ndidi is wasted at CB not to mention Liverpool missed 5 sitters.

I disagree that Haaland would fit liverpool perfectly. I think haaland is certainly good enough to adapt to different systems and excel in practically any system, but the thing is is that pool don't really play with an out and out striker, sort of like a player in between an out and out striker and a true false 9. Like I said previously I think it could still work, but I wouldn't say it would be a perfect or even good fit tactically.

Your predcitions skills mate.
avatar
I'd rather let all 3 of them stay and have something likes this: Mane-Firmino-Salah Jota--New striker-New winger or Elliot
avatar
It might seem disrespectful to De Gea, given he has saved us so many times, but a loan like Alexis Sanchez is the most likely given the market.
avatar
He’s the next Celtic manager.
avatar
Yes.
avatar
Lille is good enough for them, the question is about how much more money they can get elsewhere. Ligue 1 is poor
avatar
It's always possible for our club to go higher, but it's not like Joe Lewis gives the club the money to compete with Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and United
avatar
Ndombele ain't anything special until now. sometimes truly impressive to watch but shitty decision making and unable to keep a good form run. I hope Kane and Son will leave honestly, as a Spurs fan I've seen them carrying us for years, I want to see them winning something. I also reckon we won't be competitive in 1 or 2 seasons, so the money from them would be helpfull getting a bunch of young promising players which could become world class in 4-5 years
avatar
Son and Ndombele will probably stay but Kane will probably leave.
avatar
Both. Injuries made him bad. He isn't reliable anymore. Should be sold, as he is finally back fit.
avatar
True, from what I've heard Elliot say though he thinks he is ready to play for us. Nice to see the confidence.
avatar
Phillips won’t get anywhere near Kabak. Phillips is an overrated player by our supporters and has burnley or Palace written all over him. Make Kabak permanent, sell ox, I’d rather sign Toney instead of Watkins who will coasts a fortune. Also having three right forwards would also cause issues with rotation so if you sign Raphinha you have to loan out Elliot again.
avatar
müller could play at rw rm or cm tho his defensive skills are underrated
avatar
Ikone, David, Bamba the Jonathan's trio
avatar
Müller instead of Gnabry or coman or gnabry rm and muller rw
avatar
yeah i totally know where you´re coming from regarding the fact they´ve already worked together and they´ll 100% will play 3/5 atb but bayern is a club where a coach has a right for a veto or suggestions but never the last say. Flick left because of this.
avatar
Yeah, it will be interesting, and also even one big signing would be interesting.
avatar
don´t get me wrong i´d have both of them for rotation but especially Chambers is. He can play CB/RB/LB and is a little more than just solid
avatar
Similarly im telling u my opinion thats kinda how it works. A CB isnt priority compared to RW and DM and Cavani was extended so we dont have to get a ST this summer. Anyways we arent spending 300M+ in a regular window let alone a global pandemic
avatar
I think he will continue with a 3 atb with sule in the middle pavard or Upamecano to the right, and someone like hernandez to the left.
avatar
I get what you mean, I just still think it is an insult to your scouts, like it makes sense for us to not know a better option but surly your scouts who are paid to do this full time should be able to find someone who is a better option for the price So for example I said you needed to sign David Turnbull last season, he moved to Celtic for peanuts instead and has been amazing, you could have used him as a long term Replacement for Bobby and then Jota could have focused on Replacing Mane
avatar
Gravenberch might be the better overall player the reason why I go with Adil Aouchiche is because I value the creativity more, I want to see goals and amazing attacking play Raphinha in France costs 15m surly it would be better to send your scouts to France and sign the next Raphinha?
avatar
I 100% agree with the "keeps" tho
avatar
70/81 deserved
avatar
A CAM but his best position is CB?
avatar
Okay now when I say this I'm not saying you're wrong or that I know better but its the Norwegian league.... Wouldn't you think the attention he's getting is a bit much? He proved himself in Norway but literally every player outside of the top 5 gets the treatment that they're not proven till they make it in a big league. And the Norwegian league is well out of the top 10 even. I'm hoping he'll do good in Milan but I see posts about him everywhere talking as if he's the next big thing. I think he's only half-way there to being that...
