In essence, a combination of a tactical failure of Tuchel, the players underestimating Frankfurt, and a few horrendous individual displays (in particular Maz). Like they thought they were up against Darmstadt at home or something, as if their heads are already in Manchester. Everyone was below par today, especially Mazraoui who produced an absolute horrorshow with about a million stray passes and laughable defensive displays.
