Unpopular opinion: Kvaratskhelia's current season is actually on a Ballon D'Or worthy level and I could see him be a dark horse for the Ballon D'or that will be given away at the end of the season but before you turn on me and go and dislike my comment read my argumentation first. Kvara has booked in impressive 26 G/A in 27 matches till now in this season (and we're just few weeks past halfway the season) which is as I already said quite impressive but not my main reason as many players have reached these numbers also before (like also Haaland this season f.e.). What I like on him isn't just the fact that he contributes to goals with scoring himself or assisting his teammates, what I especially I like on him is the way how he does it. This speed, this flair, this dribbling, this finish, the handling on the ball, ... I don't want to put him anywhere near Messi for sure as Messi is probably the greatest player to have ever touched a ball but he is currently the closest one that I would put next to Messi JUST talking about his speed dribbling playing style. With Napoli he is currently 18 points clear on top of the table and they will most likely (if no miracle happens) win this year's Series A title with an absolute domination that we only seen from Juve before so far and Kvara is, I would say, the main factor for this success. Of course players like Osmihen, Min-Jae Kim etc. also were world class this season but the contribution that Kvara did for the team is incomparable in my eyes. I would that far and say that Osimhen wouldn't have the success that he currently has if he didn't get "needed" by Kvara's assists with are a result of his fantastic vision. Napoli lost three of their best players last season with Insigne, Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz and came back even much stronger this season and a major credit for that has to be given to Kvara. Now we'll only need to see what Napoli will do in the CL now, I absolutely see them as the dark horse of the season and believe they really could get the title if they show the same mentality and consistency that they showed us till now in the season against the European giants like Bayern or Real Madrid. If Napoli somehow writes the fairy tale story of the decade and actually wins the CL then I see Kvara should really be a serious candidate for the Ballon D'Or at the end of the season. Kvaradona for are reason, but well the season is still young, let's go and see what will happen till the end of the season.
