it's just a new word bruh it's not that serious

What does that word even mean? Sounds like an non-existent word that shit youths have forced into meaning something because they're too stupid to learn words to express themselves so they make up words instead.

Someone should create a Mogwarts FC shortlist

Yeah but proportionally we are much more stacked on the left

Di Lorenzo and Darmian on the right are also decent tho right?

And full backs, Dimarco, Cambiaso, Parisi, Udogie, Ruggeri, Biraghi

I mean it's no wonder why they want to get rid of us. We get in the way of the story that there are only 6 "big clubs" in England. Although pretty much everyone has seemed to accept that narrative. I now live in an area without many Everton fans and I've heard people say that we're a small club and actually mean it. I've also heard fans of West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace say we're of "similar size" and actually mean it. Our reputation as a big and historic club has pretty much sunk to an all-time low, and by getting us out of the prem it will be gone completely. Because people still see that we have the longest time spent in top-flight history and 9 league titles (more than/equal to 3 of the "big 6"), the final step to the media narrative is getting us out the picture. And yes, I know that the ownership and underperforming teams in recent years are mostly to blame, but we are clearly treated very unfairly compared to the rest of the league. Portsmouth got a 9 point deduction for going into ADMINISTRATION yet we get 10 knocked off for ONE financial breach. They saw their chance and they pounced. Can't forget the countless outrageous decisions that have gone against us in recent years, too (well, most people will forget). Not to mention the lack of broadcasting of Everton matches and the non-existent promotion of anything Everton. What is their master plan? To eliminate the Merseyside derby and make "Liverpool Vs Man City" the headline in every paper? It's so predictable. The league is artificial right now, and they are killing off the clubs and individuals who don't fit their perfect "big 6" image. Yet, people have such short memories that they can't see the corruption going on right in front of them. I can only hope that this deduction motivates the players even more so that we can fight the odds and win. It's us against the world, but I'm never switching sides 💙🔵🔵.

To everyone feeling bad for Everton, as much as the punishments might seem harsh a lot of these issues were brought on themselves. They decided to plan to build a new stadium in 2017 which is estimated to cost around €570 million. Whilst knowing full well how much a stadium might cost, the money spent in the next 5 transfer windows were: 16/17 - €86 mill 17/18 - €203 mill 18/19 - €100 mill 19/20 - €121 mill 20/21 - €74 mill €585 mill in 5 seasons (more than €200 mill over fees recieved) knowing they were spending big on a new stadium. There are definitely other factors that greatly harmed Everton but the issues i mentioned were major and through their own decisions...

I know it can be tempting to think of what if this squad had an attacking-minded manager, but it's a bad idea to look at that for the sake of being long-term. Everton tried attacking with Lampard but it clearly didn't work, this squad simply isn't good enough to play a more open style of play. Ancelotti just did Ancelotti stuff with his Everton squad and got them scoring while conceding few and he isn't even considered an attacking style manager. But wow Dyche Ball has been so incredibly effective for Everton, didn't expect them to become this decent already. It's not even been anywhere near painful to watch as what his Burnley side was.

On paper, from an outside perspective, I would say 16/17 looked good but like you said, it had a few holes in it and they had prime Lukaku leading the line. 18/19 had the best all round squad in the sense that the players may not have been the best they were but they had cover all round as well as players who looked like they could have been something for the future like Jonjoe Kenny or Tom Davies. If we are going off performances and expectations then 13/14 is easily the best as Moyes got poached by them, Fellaini got taken 2 key people for the club and on paper the players they brought in looked good, Barcelona wonderkid Deulofeu, Arouna Kone who was killing it at Wigan before joining Everton and West Brom loan superstar Lukaku and even Barkley in his breakout season that year got them to Europa League. For a team that under Moyes was always around Europe to then get their manager and arguably best player taken and then get a manager who was relegated with Wigan and seal European football including big wins over Chelsea and Arsenal who were solid top 4 teams was very big and the main difference between Moyes Everton in 12/13 to Martinez Everton in 13/14 was down to Everton having Lukaku in the sense that with the actual goalscorer leading the line they took their draws which caused them to miss out on Europe in 12/13 into wins which got them 5th in the table. They lost 1 more game but in 12/13 Everton won 16, drew 15, lost 7 and in 13/14, they won 21, drew 9 and lost 8. Drawing 15 games in a season is a lot of draws for any team and you could argue that if Moyes had Lukaku over Anichebe and Jelavic in 12/13 then that season could have been better but as it stands 13/14 is better in my opinion and the main reason is the lack of expectation they had due to Moyes and Fellaini leaving and also the rise of Lukaku and Barkley P.S. I realise you said that we are disregarding managers and stuff and you said "on paper" but I just feel like Everton's 13/14 season goes under the radar due to Liverpool surprise title challenge, Man Utd surprise fall off and they don't get the credit they deserve for that season

The only three players I'd be happy to see still at the club next season would be pickford tarkowski and branthwaite, everyone else needs to go and a massive rebuild is needed. Although we all know the only player that will be sold is branthwaite and we will spend whatever money we got on more average or washed up premier league player and finally be relegated, because this ownership have no idea what they are doing and wont change despite this being the most important transfer window of the clubs history. Even more Depressing times ahead I fear

You can never take Everton football club out of the Premier League no matter how hard you try 💙

Realistically, this is what I would do with Everton in 2024 summer: Sell Branthwaite for 60 mil, replace him with Hancko for 30 mil. Sell Onana for 60 mil, replace him with Hjulmand for 30 mil. Sell DCL & Maupay for 20 mil, replace them with Nketiah for 30 mil. Release Coleman & Young, replace them with Montiel for 15 mil. Loan end of Harrison & Danjuma, replace them with Jack Clarke for 25 mil. Release Alli, replace him with Gibbs-White for 40 mil.

So many talented players out there we could easily get on a cheap that would improve the squad so much but you already know we'll end up signing Kalvin Phillips on loan and Che Adams on a free....
