that's the most gringo sounding sentence I've read in a while
avatar
no mention of sample size, also, since when did blacks commit unprovoked crimes on asians and when did Hispanic folks steal black jobs

Imagine as a Brazilian, you have the choice to be a plastic fan for any club and you choose spurs, learn some history on the English game before you abandon your country, and you’ll realise that without spurs’ charity shield victories, they are barely more successful than us

There's Rumours of three men having made it to the final selection for the vacant director of football role for us. One of the men is rumored to be Johannes Spors. A German currently at Italian side Genoa. Listen at what he had to say here, 0:50 into this clip 👀 https://youtu.be/u0mNYafDuko?feature=shared
avatar
Personally I wouldn't. 1. He's become injury prone. People don't talk about it as much because Reece James is getting even more injuries in recent seasons. 2. He's 28 y/o now. It's far from old and he's approaching his prime years now, but for that kind of fee we would guaranteed not be able to make a profit on him. We did sign Trippier who was 31 y/o at the time, but it was €13m on reduced wages, We got a €15m offer from Bayern 4 months ago for him and could made a profit if we wanted to. 3. Wages. We do have a strict wage structure due to revenues being quite low In comparison to the other big English clubs. Only five players at Newcastle got wages above 100k/week, Chilwell is reportedly at 200k/week+. And at this stage of his career I can't see him take a huge pay cut. I'm more than happy with Lewis Hall, ty Chelsea for that deal. He's imo going to be in the England setup within 12-18 months. If all things goes to plan he'll be Newcastle's LB for the next 10-12 years
avatar
That's a pen But Dortmund will still win

you have to respect PSG doing a crossbar challenge in a UCL semi final

Ramos is our 12th man

Should’ve got a TOTS card. He is no joke,

Still salty that 16 y/o Isak dunked on your team in the derby 8 years ago 🤣🤣 https://youtu.be/LUS5-sMsrcA?feature=shared

brother this is Olises page. not reddit
avatar
I like Neto, but yes he's extremely injury-prone. Not worth taking a gamble unless Wolves lower the asking price. £40m would be fair price, can't see anyone else going above that for Neto. What your thoughts on Neto, and would you prefer out of these three?

Woke up and saw Palace beat Mun Utd 4-0, GOOD NEWSSS

aged perfect, 84/87 for me rn although personal bias say 85/88. Goal per 101 minutes is a crazy stat.
avatar
EA at it again… he deserves 84/87 easily.
avatar
Yes it would be a bit of a statement if we could pull this off. In terms of PSR we are fine i think, we just need to raise 6mil for the 23/24 financial calendar year. 60 mil up front for Olise is alot tbf, but hes someone we could build around for 10 seasons
avatar
What a massive, massive boost to the right flank if that is possible. The lad is likely to be very expensive though and our PSR is not complete in the safe zone yet I don't think.
avatar
If we think about it, Olise to Newcastle isn't unrealistic if we can get that 6th spot. - -Man City: They already got many wingers and brought back Savio from Girona. -Liverpool: Mo Salah will stay according to reliable sources and I doubt Olise would want to be a back up. -Arsenal: I can see them be interested in Olise as their Saka backup is Reiss Nelson who's average. But I don't think Olise would want to sit on the bench -Villa: Bailey, Buendia & Diaby -Spurs: No chance, they got Kulu & Brennan, they are probably looking at Eze/MGW rather than a RW. -Man utd: They do certainly need a RW, Antony isn't good enough and they are likely selling Sancho this summer if ETH remain the boss. Question is, would Olise want to join them when they clearly got lots of issues on/off the pitch. -Chelsea: They got too many wingers at the club, and are reportedly looking into signing Estevao from Palmeiras. Can't see that happening. If Olise were to move abroad I could only see PSG as a option. Him on the RW with Dembele switching to LW. -Newcastle: We clearly need a quality RW. We know that Eddie Howe want PL proven players with speed/physicality. Olise ticks a lot of boxes. Personally I got Nico Williams as first choice, but getting Nico might be too difficult with that cheap 42mil RC. Olise on the other hand might not be too difficult to get if we really want him and offer him a guaranteed place In the 11
avatar
Yes it's too late now imo. They bought him for like £23m, they would want something ridiculous to let him go after 4-5 months. We were linked with him in January but the club didn't want to buy anyone before July of this year
avatar
We need 7/9 points. Think we can do it. Schedule isn't as difficult as it might look. Brentford got nothing to play for, Brighton & Man utd are out of form. And of course, if Chelsea lose a game then it'd take a collapse for us to miss out on Europa league
avatar
Go on Palace weyyyy.
avatar
Do you guys realize nothing is more embarrassing than this? Palace have never done a league double on yanited.
avatar
What a dive from Hojlund
avatar
Racist?
avatar
If he picks Maignan over Areola as well lol

Hope Crystal Palace can do us a favour Monday night. Man City aswell in the cup final

https://twitter.com/MailSport/status/1787543469088444630?t=YWAqovMZ6t5o_INTgihuyg&s=19 Linked with Olise, N.Williams & P.Neto. Nico Williams would be the dream, he's my 1st choice, especially when he's so cheap at 43mil ( release clause) All young, explosive & technical wingers. It's about time we get some fresh blood in this area of the pitch
avatar
https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1787471606010335598?t=Pr-9QnwGivyv3avc25j2iw&s=19 As I said a month ago, I was 100% certain that Ashworth's replacement was going to be a British one with good knowledge & contacts in England. Maldini & the other Portuguese names mentioned was imo just guesswork. I don't know much about this guy Freedman, but it's clear that his track record is recent years is impressive
avatar
https://twitter.com/TheLaneAndBack/status/1786880087595593857?t=Vq40Us2PgK8Pxh4e9y4oMQ&s=19 These lot think they have the pull. It'd be a sideways move at best. They might be able to offer higher wages than us at the moment due to generating higher revenue, but two years from now and it won't even be a option to lose a player to them
avatar
A reminder that EA think Nunez is better than Isak 😂
avatar
20 in 27, for 70M Euro. Bargain in this day n' age innit?
avatar
72/85
avatar
72/84 with these stats is a must before season end https://sofifa.com/player/13986252/lewis-hall/240036/
avatar
The more things go on, the more important that Man U game is becoming. At the moment, the lowest we can finish is 8th. Keep wining, and that'll go higher.
avatar
Lopetegui por favor
avatar
I agree that ST isn't the main priority this summer ( RW & CB) but I'd be nice to have someone who can rotate with Isak throughout the season, Wilson is sadly not the answer. I'd even be happy with a young " project striker" a young talented one for 15-25 mil which isn't alot, he could then be 3rd choice behind Isak& Cal. Kubo & Soule are two great young wingers. Soule's €30m price tag is really appealing, he's also got a higher ceiling than Kubo imo. Another young RW we should try and get Is Nico Williams, that £42m RC is a absolute bargain. Lets hope we can keep our stars this summer and build a great squad for 24/25!
avatar
Honestly, half the time it's the agents seeing if they can fish another luxury property out of a couple of days work, the rest of the time the rags go on social media and see who's trending for a particular team, make an article and see if it gains any traction.
avatar
I don’t think any of us think we will get him. We’d just love to have him
avatar
Very impressed with Hall tdy
avatar
What a win! Swear after seeing first few minutes from possession stats, was worried that it was gonna end up like last week, and that we'd have to take going behind to wake up. But seemed like a professional job done. With players back too now, things looking up. It's a massive win, given Chelsea's form. But we gotta keep wining our games, and we'll get there. Up the Toon!
avatar
Shakey start first 20, but once we got that first goal Burnley had to take risk and leave gaps behind their backline. And Newcastle on the transitions are perhaps the best team in the league with the pace of Gordon & Isak. I liked the tactical switch to match Burnley's 442 and go man-man press. Everyone played in their natural positions today bar Krafth who I think looked even better as a CB. Great to finally win convincingly away from home
avatar
That ref today was desperate to do Man U a favour. Two stonewall penalties waved away. The foul against Anderson, in fact, from start to finish he robbed us blind. Howe's too much of a people pleaser. Why bring on Richie, a player with no future here and no match sharpness. Let's get him off the wage bill. So happy for Lewis Hall. He should be our first choice left back next season, what an all round footballer. Longstaff might have scored, but it was another atrocious display from him. Wilson showing us we don't need to sign another striker. Overall, another good day for us.
avatar
Ritchie haven't been PL quality for the past 4-5 years. He's got no legs, poor touches and lack power in his shots. Certainly do look like a 35 y/o winger. Alex Murphy should demand a loan move because he's not getting a look in despite loads of injuries for the squad this season
avatar
I've been saying it since this guy was in Türkiye, extremely underrated
avatar
joelinton is back on the bench
avatar
Callum! Let's hope he can go on those incredible goalscoring runs again in the final games
avatar
Yes really odd. Callum did lose balance and immediate jumped up again. As you say, there was contact, both ran at full speed so its hard to keep balance. Anthony Taylor with yet another poor decision
avatar
So if you fall down in the opposition box then it’s automatically a “dive” and a yellow card. Even if there is contact or you lose your balance. Stupid
avatar
Game over.
avatar
When was the last time we had such a strong bench with options? Lovely stuff
avatar
Shame Wilson´s always injured. Great striker
avatar
Normally very critical of Murphy & Longstaff, but they have been superb today imo

I was honestly very sceptical when we first was linked with Gordon. The media said that we were battling for his signature with Chelsea also being interested. Rumours of fees around £50m when we already had Saint-Maximin & Joelinton as LW options didn't make much sense at the time. From what I had seen or Gordon at Everton I wasn't seeing impressed and saw him as a £20m player at most. He was diving alot, fighting with opponents on the pitch and came across as very arrogant. Sort of 2 months into his Newcastle career that stereotype still hadn't changed, he was once subbed in against Brentford and then subbed off 45 mins later in the last few mins of the game. He then refused to shake hands with the manager and pushed him away when Eddie Howe tried to explain the sub. But at the end of last season we saw a long interview with Gordon where he said that Newcastle fans hadn't even seen 20% of what he was capable of, and that he would not have a vacation in order to work on his fitness and weakness to come back to 23/24 as a much better player. Gordon played U21 euros with England, he won the tournament and also got named the player of the tournament. Rather than take vacation like everyone else in that tournament he went straight to the US and linked up with his Newcastle teammates who were having pre season. That showed the mentality this kid got, he's never happy and wants to constantly improve. I'm yet to see a more hardworking LW in modern football. Gordon is I think 2nd on the list for most sprints in the PL this season. He's sprinting backwards to protect the LB Dan Burn, and he's sprinting forward to create chances, fitness levels improved massively, and that's because he worked on it last summer rather than having 4 weeks off. Anthony Gordon might not be blessed technically, but his work ethic & determination will take him to the top
