LB: Pearce as starter (he is solid) and called up Robinson from his loan since Liverpool called Chambers back (even though he played a lot but fifa is shit) CB: Goode Kerr and Watts as starters, Hughes is playing good but got heavily injured and lost his starter place. Bought Rodwell for more experience. Morrison called back from Bayern RB: Sessegnon and Clare are still fighting for the starter spot. CM: Shaw is playing amazingly good I want to buy him or to extend his loan, would that be realistic? Also matt smith is playing really good. The other smith was sent to loan. Adeeko is growing. Bought ube Charles in midseason since Porto called back Folha from his loan (oh yeah i got folha on loan). LW: Aasgaard is inconsistent but I believe in him. I got kirkegaard as well and a youth player who is playing well. Brennan was sent on loan in january. RW: Smith is good but not great yet. I got Tauriainen on a 2 year loan from Chelsea, he is also good. I ended Godo's loan at the beggining and i dont really know why haha, just felt like it. I've been editing some players with live editor and it basically works in game. At least in FIFA 23. Players can still switch clubs for free, but one club players for AI controlled teams won't receive transfer offers in simulation. Therefore, I have edited those players' contracts to be valid until they probably retire. It's possible though live editor and only on PC.

But I see what you mean @Marcendilo, It's not ideal for Kane to drop into midfield when there's so many good creators in the team like Trippier, Stones, Saka,Foden, Palmer, Bellingham & Trent. In possession he's a 6. Drop deep in buildup, maybe break through the pressing, and while he's at it he has the pace to carry the ball into the final third. I don't see him as much of a threat in the final third, so box to box isn't really accurate. When the opponent has the ball, he's an aggressive defender who likes to press. So overall I'd say a mix between Thiago and Kante. Perfect as a playmaking part of a double pivot. He's not quite as perfect for the single pivot or the 8 role in a 433, but he is still an almost complete midfielder.

I don't fully agree that this wastes RJ. Cucurella has a history of playing LCB so there's no reason why they couldn't alternate who pushes forward/inverts. Plus with Nkunku and Palmer capable of playing in multiple zones there's a lot of fluid rotation patterns possible.

Until proven otherwise, Reece James doesn't have the fitness to play as a FB anymore, especially an attacking one going forward all the time and coming back. and no one said anything about an out and out CB. he'd be the RCB in a back-3 with the license to roam into the midfield. I get that this is a different environment with different players, but Caicedo playing higher up makes sense to me. with a double pivot behind him and 3 defenders behind the duo, we won't need him to be as athletic as Kante. Kante was literally part of a double pivot and was playing two roles at once, presser in the final 3rd and DM in a double pivot, Caicedo will have to play one role at a time because when he gets forward either Cucurella or Reece will fill in for him in the midfield.
