Yeah i remember when i was little i went up there with the family, i was nearly dead by the time we reached the top and it wasnt that hot then. The view is absolutely worth it though. Plus the the parthenon is really jawdropping up close.

When I went there I took the hop on hop off bus which takes you to the main attractions. You can see the Acropolis, the Parliament, the first Olympic stadium and many other attractions. Also, the Monastiraki market was one of the nicest I've seen with lots and lots of souvenirs, could be handmade too. The downside is that Athens is full of homeless people and stray cats, but all in all a very, very nice city and the trip there was very interesting. If you have the chance, go to Piraeus as well (and take a shirt from Olympiakos). And don't forget the gyros, mouthwatering. Have a nice trip! And return with positive energy for yet another long season of Liverpool

Germany haven't showed up to a tournament since 2016. They made semis in 2016 euros then out in the group in 2018 WC then out in r16 of Euros 2020 and out of 2022 WC group stage. They have solid players, but they just don't gel together in tournaments. I could see another r16 exit if they even make it out of the group stage. This team doesn't have the experience to make it to a final let alone win it.

Anyone else kind of dislike the way of modern football? I mean nowadays keepers can't save shots but it "doesn't matter" because they can sweep and play out from the back, which for a keeper has somehow become more important than saving shots on goal. Strikers nowadays can do anything but score, they'll have the linkup play, the work-rate, relentless energy but be really mediocre in actually putting the ball in the back of the net. Nowadays instead of having overlapping fullbacks exploit the width and whip crosses in, it's now about inverting and simply overloading the midfield to keep control and have the numbers to make numerous sideways passes. There's such an emphasis on being an elite athlete in football that you don't really have pure ballers with insane technical ability anymore.
