What I'm saying is that I think it is rare because Havertz is the only other midfielder we have besides Rice that offers us any sort of physicality. I think Arteta sees him more as a second striker than an AM, and as an AM second. Notice the positions he takes up when we are attacking. So I don't think Arteta is unwilling to use his versatility, I think it is a symptom of our squad being thin in midfield. If Partey was fit, we'd see much more of Partey at CDM with Rice at CM, meaning Havertz on the bench. But again, both of us are speculating really. There is no telling what Arteta thinks or believes. I mean, the fact we are even having this conversation about Havertz would have shocked the both of us a year ago lol. On Tomi, he has improved tremendously at inverting, starting to become more natural for him imo. Ofc Zinchenko is the best at it in our squad and one of the best players on the ball in those areas of the pitch. But the defensive solidity Tomi offers is more attractive to a side who will hope to catch us out at home. I do understand the Zinny argument though, and wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if he started. You also have to think the whole Jorginho dynamic. If Jorginho plays it kind of automatically picks Tomi to play with him. Rice and Zinchenko balance each other out, and Jorginho and Tomi do too (considering the LB will invert anyways, a double pivot of Jorgi and Zinny is super vulnerable. That said, you'd kind of helped change my mind a bit on this. I think Zinny starting at LB could work. Meaning Rice at CDM, Havertz and Vieira ahead of him, and Trossard, Saka, and Martinelli up front. Much more attacking potency, hopefully we can be up a goal by the 60th-70th min mark where we can take Zinchenko off for Tomi and put Jorginho on as a double pivot with Rice. Nelson on for Saka, and one of Martinelli or Trossard comes off and Havertz shifts up front and Vieira at CAM/SS. Ofc, this is all situational, but a very ideal lineup and substitutions. Jesus has been our best attacker in the CL though, so scoring may be easier said than done.

It’s not an Arsenal game so he’s probably offline

Obviously. But looks and seems like a lot of work. No time or effort for Housewives of Beverly Hills types.

Fellow Gunners I cannot explain how excited I am as my wife has surprised me to tickets to see our Arsenal play for the first time ever! She booked us a trip from Canada to London for my birthday! We will be in London to watch us play Sheffield. This is one of the greatest days ever! Please let me know if you have any suggestions on food places and things to do in the Islington area. Thank you!

Happy world kangaroo day everyone.

Go back in. You will not be missed.

I am on the couch. Let me die here. There is more garlic bread. That is my only lifeline.

We’ve won 6 out of 8 games, still in the cup and are in a healthy position in our UCL group. What more do you want? Did our free flowing football win the title last season? Angeball will tank when the weather gets cold and a few Spurs players get injured, the data shows they’ve been lucky anyway (their expected points is 5th). I honestly think we are set up for the long term and the football we are playing, whilst not as pleasing on the eye as last season, is more sustainable for a league challenge. Hopefully it all clicks and we start blowing teams away in April and May when it matters. Also the football is still very good to watch.

Yep. Hope his attitude is good though. Seen some good young Irish players fall off the last few years because of their attitude. Troy Parrot and Aaron Connolly for example.

Make it happen!!!

MAGALHAES SCORESSSSSSS DO BRASILLLLLL BEAST!! LOVE THIS GUY

There is no agenda against Raya, there is an agenda against the agenda against Ramsdale Only very toxic fans have agendas against players who haven't even played 10 games

From my point of view we are really on the way to becoming one of the greatest stadiums in the PL in terms of atmosphere. We really have Arteta to thank for that! From the beginning, he has emphasised that the most important thing for him is to reconnect the fans with the players, the staff and the whole club. Since we moved to the Emirates, that was not there. Now the atmosphere is incredible! Almost every player gets a song and the song North-London forever at the beginning before every game was a real game-changer! I read somewhere that it was set up by Arteta! The article said that in addition to having a plan to move the team forward athletically, he also presented an enormously detailed plan to improve the atmosphere throughout the club! So I think we are well on the way to becoming one of the biggest stadiums in the Premier League, maybe in the world. Of course, titles and sporting achievements will help!

He’s a monreal 2.0. Always reliable.

Love Tomi.

That goal encapsulates why I love football. One moment of improvisation from a player who esssentially decided to go rogue of the system -- and that decision starts the move that wins us the game.

I'm posting this again, this will be my last post on this site for a while. There are some great users who you can talk about football with but the amount of racism and antisemitic comments I get is really not worth it. People hang on misguided information to justify what I described. How can someone justify this? It's the last straw for me. Btw, if Israel wanted, they could easily erase the whole of Gaza in an hour. We didn't do it and will never do it because we are not what some of the media is trying to make us look, I'm here everyday, it's just not true. Bye and good luck to Arsenal tomorrow. Today I woke up at 6:30 from bomb alarms. 2,200 rockets were sent to Israel today. 1,000 Hamas terrorists managed to get into Cities near Gaza and started shooting families, civilians. I've seen photos of rooms full of dead people, women with their children, blood on the walls. 300+ people dead and 1,600+ injured in the last 16 hours, and almost entirely civilians My father's friend got shot in the head and I have to calm frightened children around me while we hide in the shelter. So yes, Zinchenko support us. Just like the governments of US, England, Germany, France and the list goes on. WE ARE DYING HERE! No one wins in war, no one. Wish us peace my friends, tough times here

Just found out I got a ticket to Arsenal vs Lens!!! Ozgunner freezing his balls off in England this December... we will be there no matter what.

Hi Pal. Admin keeps muting me since everyone copied my pfp :(. But hope you win Baguette! Hate that plastic club

Yeah great I have to sit here with my disintegrating paper straw but millionaires can just dump a years worth of CO2 into the atmosphere on one completely needless private plane trip

have fun bro

In before someone comments "but what even is a pure fullback, we don't even play like that" and miss the whole point. I absolutely agree, I'm still not a huge fan of Kiwior as LB yet I see him playing there more and more and actually depending on how he plays this season and Timber's recovery + contribution to this season, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't chase a LB this winter or next summer.

Quite poor on this one, 63%. I got Cygan and Silvestre but didn't get Gallas and Aliadiere lol, tho I started looking at the nationalities and years about halfway through which is a skill issue lol. I knew I'd have some shocking misses, some players just don't stay in my head as Arsenal players, like I always miss Welbeck for example on random Arsenal quizzes. It's my mind trying to cope with that shocking transfer deadline day 2014.

The month is January, 2023. Chelsea just willed their deep pockets into securing Mudryk right from under our noses. You are upset. An oracle from the future comes into your room. He tells you that king Kai Havertz will score a goal for Arsenal before Mudryk ever scored a goal for Chelsea. You smile. All is right in the world yet again.

Haha thats rough but just got to enjoy it bro. Waiting to hear from Arsenal Australia this week to see if I got tickets to the Arsenal vs Lens game in November. Everyone who applied for the PSV game got tickets... fingers crossed man. Either way I'm going to Arsenal vs Wolves in December but god I'd love to see an UCL game. Beyond excited to see the Arsenal in London for the first time!!!

Just to be clear I am agreeing with you, just for different reasons

They were RAPED!

Great performance by Ramsdale, brentford came onto us very strong in the second half and had some dangerous chances but ramsdale made some excellent saves!

Haha we’re all happy for you

Yk what's funny? For some this would be shocking cus the narrative for some reason starting from around the end of last season and going in the summer was "defense not good enough". And meanwhile, you got Eddie #14 Nketiah doing what he did yesterday. The attack isn't working well, it hasn't been working for a very long time. When I spoke months ago that we're scoring goals that aren't from natural and clean planned attacks I wasn't saying it just for the sake of it. The attack is a legitimate problem and just imagine what would happen if the guy that we're trying to burn does get burned, our starboy. Things gotta change now!

Heal timber? Sure lemme get a med kit from Battlefield 4

Esr NEEDS to get game time against PSV, otherwise it’s extremely unfair treatment

This is off topic, sort of, but you would be surprised how many people on here just need a friend. When you see people on here saying crazy disrespectful stuff, I promise you their lives are not happy. You being kind and taking interest in them, despite their ways, could literally change their lives. You’d be surprised. I have a friend from FedEx (I used to be a delivery driver), who when I met, him was on the verge of suicide. I had it really easy (that’s important, everyone doesn’t have all day, some of us just have 15-20 minutes to give to someone), so I would take a few hours out of my day, each morning, to help him get his truck loaded, and we’d talk; he’d vent to me for hours on end, even after work sometimes. This man got cheated on by three different girls, got fired from his last job, was in massive debt, living in a run down trailer on the outskirts of town, it was ugly. 3 years later... I was JUST his best man at his wedding a few months back; he’s got a house, a new car, a happy marriage, he’s the lead supervisor now at FedEx. His whole life has changed, and I don’t say all this to glorify myself, he made a lot of changes in his life, but even he would tell you that just me being someone he could talk to and open up to really helped him work through stuff and heal. Sure there’s therapy but an hour every week or month would have taken a decade and thousands of dollars. People like that have a lot they want to say and get of their chest, but can’t find anyone who will here them, it sucks. My point is that if you have good sense, not just about football, you could legitimately help turn someone’s life around, and it’s the best feeling seeing the fruit of all the time and care you’ve invested in someone. Give it a try, next time you see someone on here trolling, just have mercy on them, and try to make light of the situation, rather than calling them a “retard” or just blatantly ignoring them. Some people are genuinely ill, but most people who act that way aren’t.

Don't call it "my" podcast it's "our" podcast. And I am still semi serious about it, it'd be better than some of the drivel out there. Even if you (Or I) randomly drop into irrational french swearing every now and then. I see it as like Stadio but without being complete wankers. Until then Lens can mange ma merde :)

Sergioooooooooo lets gooooooo It's 3am here and I just got home. Fire up the podcast.

I'm just tired at this point, I've seen this time and time again for so many years. We can't afford to have Man City's level of squad depth but we're ALWAYS a one or two-man short. I'm just done with all of this, the same old mistakes again and again. Timber got injured, okay, get someone on loan then, get someone for a small fee, short contract even, find an answer, adapt. Nah, we'll just gamble and potentially waste another season cus that's what we do. If Zinchenko gets injured (a LB who isn't all that defensive btw) we have 2 CBs to cover, not even LBs, CBs. I can speak so much about the problems this squad could face but it's probably pointless atp.
