Don't bother, everyone's obsessed with hating on him. I get he's been shit in the past year, but people are blowing it way out of proportion, I've seen people unironically call him a Championship player 💀
avatar
Ronaldo dident do that. The glazer have been trying to sell the club ever since the Super league got cancelled.

the xG for long shots is massively undervalued. If there’s no defensive pressure, it’s very easy for professional players to score long shots. Also there’s an implication that shot with a very low xG is going to be very difficult to save, by its very nature it’s not ‘expected’ and therefore requires high quality to score. This is why xG is limited in its application to keepers. It doesn’t distinguish a keeper’s mistake from a screamer. There’s two conclusions you could draw from that stat. Either Henderson has a deficiency against long shots, or Forest as a team has a vulnerability against allowing long shots. (Or a 3rd conclusion is that the team is just unlucky) The quantity of goals suggests the 2nd conclusion (without watching each goal)
avatar
You’re right, he was fit all the time 👍
avatar
He was available for 3 games a season he can’t complain about anything
avatar
Guido Rodríguez is a hell of a player, trust if he gets here.
avatar
It dosent really matter, it was just funny that people heard what they wanted to hear.

You're being reactionary, man was playing with blisters

Eriksens deal is held up by lawyers checking contracts, frenkies is held up by issues surrounding wages related to barca. Both eriksen and malacia deals were swift on the clubs send, fdj is taking time and honestly if u told me a few months ago we were signing FRENKIE DE JONG for 65M id have laughed in ur face. No business signing him yet here we are as actual contendors for his signature. Once its done the rest will be a domino effect

I personally don't rate McTominay that highly, think his footballing IQ is lacking which is my main issue with him. However, his stats aren't bad, you just don't understand how to read them. Go and look at someone like Fabinho's page (I assume you rate him). They are not night and day different apart from passes attempted p/90. My point isn't to defend McTominay by saying that he is this awesome player, but that you can't just post his stats on FBref and say that he is a bad player when he actually has decent numbers in many areas. I believe McTominay has suffered greatly to accommodate the likes of Pogba and Fred to play in their natural positions. He is a B2B midfielder stuck playing DM or CB for his country. Think he has something to offer if he is paired with a holding midfielder that allows him to make forward runs. Not a starter for me, but squad option for sure.
avatar
I have my doubts about Nunez and his hold up play and passing and all that but I can’t help but see how much of a goal threat he is, and his athleticism and work rate is off the charts, don’t even think you can compare him to Lukaku in that sense. He’s kinda like a faster Cavani. Also look how dangerous he is against Liverpool. The top class finishes aswell against the best keeper in the world. Hard not to be intrigued by him. https://twitter.com/scoutuk/status/1532014428253732865?s=21&t=w5C0opoCXfeRPA_3CAzu7w

when you claim every single player under the age of 21 is good does it really count for anything when you get some right?

We’re completely fucked if De Gea stays fit too

All Shaw and Maguire’s fault innit

Howe was really unlucky to go down with Bournemouth, the injuries killed him. But yeah, can't be worse than Ralf Ragnick
avatar
No one from this page will probably bother, which is sad. Abdel is a very good writer.

Ah, man. It feels refreshing knowing there are people in this site that like to go in-depth.

Another thing. “Sack Ole, these players can do much better and challenge for trophies!” A few months under Rangnick: “These players aren’t good enough! They’re not fit to wear the shirt!” Hey, what if the problem lies elsewhere, not in the manager nor players? What if it’s whats behind them that has failed the players, the managers, the club and its fans?
avatar
A team can't move forward with a GK that only does shot stopping. He isn't commanding, he doesn't come off his line to sweep/Catch a cross. Look at Ederson, Allison, Neuer and even Ramsdale on a PL scale. Same at Dortmund with Bürki (a great shot stopper in 17/18 and 18/19 and very good in 19/20 too). Kobel commands the backline, comes off his line, catches crosses and that just overall gives the defenders more freedom to step out sometimes, to play a high line at times and even to make a mistake knowing he's behind them. There's a reason why De Gea doesn't play for Spain
avatar
No worries bro, I try my best to keep up with the Championship. However I do think it was a dumb decision to move him from Swansea to Bournemouth. I think a full season on loan at both would've been perfect (that is if Bournemouth got promoted). Was doing incredibly well at Swansea and then moved to Bournemouth where he would be 3rd choice RB had the other fullback options Jordan Zemura and Leif Davis (LBs) and Jack Stacey (RBs) not been injured/unfit. Hence why he is starting now, so hopefully he settles well enough that when they come back he still starts ahead of them.
avatar
He got injured very early into his loan at Bournemouth. Only now is starting to feature for them. Started the last two games against Middlesbrough and Coventry. Haven’t been able to watch a lot of him though.
avatar
Bro scrolled back that far💀💀💀
avatar
They’re doing it already lol
avatar
Because I was addressing the 2nd paragraph
avatar
12 prem goals whilst playing for Brentford is a bad thing? I swear he's scored more than Kane and Ronaldo this season.
avatar
Do ppl rlly think that all Ole did was score THAT UCL goal? God...

Shenanigans spends all day every day criticising English players and yet supports an English club.

Matic daydreaming. Awb daydreaming. Level of professionalism in this football team is woeful

Literally declined and went to Inter

Don't think anyone said Maguire's a better defender than Rio, just that he's been better for England than Rio. Of course Rio is light years ahead as a footballer

There is this ridiculous perception going around mainstream United fans (particularly because of a certain Mark Goldbridge) that if we get Poch (which is apparently deemed to be a nightmare?), we're gonna splash millions on Kane and Rice and go on without fixing other positions. I find it to be such an ignorant find because: 1) These people downplay those players who are actually two of the more quality players of the PL that command their hype and; 2) People forget that Poch literally is known for some fantastic smaller deals. Alli from MK Dons, Trippier from Burnley, Alderweireld from Atletico (well Southampton technically, he hijacked it from them while he was on loan there), and SON FROM LEVERKUSEN to name a few. The guy isn't just some rinky dink who only knows to buy players in his league. He could very well get some underrated players for cheap and build a squad that connect well with one another. Also it's not about listening or not listening to mainstream channels or whatever. I just wanted to highlight the sheer bias and absurd brainwashing that is going around the United fanbase without presenting the proper facts. Casual fans eat this stuff up and become ignorant of other perspectives because they have been misinformed, like this garbage can genuinely cause even more unnecessary divide in the fanbase, when really it should just be debate and compromise.

Want him more than ever now
avatar
So you don't want a player here because he's defending his teammate who's getting a lot of hate. Nice
avatar
Really can’t understand why some dislike him so much, he speaks with that arrogance and confidence you’d want from a player here, whenever he plays he gives his all. He’s also shown he can bounce back after errors. He deserves a run of games because he may prove to be our solution at GK for the next 2-3 years. https://twitter.com/utddistrict/status/1508754064745582597?s=21&t=SCKUfZOaqiI2qMT_zizsBA
avatar
How did you actually manage to put these things together when I said ‘he can bounce back after errors’? Didn’t want to get into detail that’s he a much more complete GK than De Gea (which is easy) because it’s common sense.
avatar
Few problems with this. Firstly letting of/selling players is not easy. Many of your players are on huge wages and clubs wouldn't pay the money required to move those players on. Those names look mostly good but if they are only good/potential names. It doesn't quarantee them working in the same team. Building a functional team is hard and requires clear player roles. That's what most people don't understand. This is not career mode.
avatar
You’re right to an extent. But a lot of fans know we’ll take awhile to get back to the top, and a lot of those same fans want ten Hag. Buys him extra patience.
avatar
I’ve never seen someone ride so hard for a sacked city manager lol
avatar
Isco 20 bruh why? Haven't we suffered enough

What’s this?

Utd fans: Glazers out! Glazers this, Glazers that Also Utd fans: Fuck these players Despite these players also facing the consequences of playing for the biggest club in England which has created unrealistic expectations even tho the structure of the club has lead to the players finding themselves struggling on the pitch because our squad is a mess and a lack of understanding profiles and having a clear direction has lead to this. It’s no longer about passion. I’ve seen enough, it’s clear they want to win and play but when you aren’t offering them the best environment for them to thrive, how long will their determination last? Also would love how you’d prove me wrong Shaw doesn’t care about this club because he’s on high wages when Rangnick literally came out and said him and McTominay are one of our biggest leaders in the dressing room
avatar
Just funny at this point, way too many talk about how these players lack the mentality, they’re lazy and etc. Surely they don’t lack the mentality given last season we were fucking determined to never give up and believe despite being horrendous at the start and dropping out of the group stage. Also went behind too many times and yet still came out and top. Wake the fuck up, the problem is much more complex than “mentality”, the problem starts from the top. Rant over
avatar
27 is an issue? Lol

This Bruno extension is rlly not that deep lol u lot need to relax

This fan base switches up so easily

Any player who “demands” a new deal and makes a fuss behind the scenes if they don’t get it should be sold Nobody is bigger than the club.

Felix and Haaland and this and that Get Harry Kane

Expect a lot of moves in the Academy this summer as well as hopefully the first team. Jobe Bellingham is someone who could join the club. Already at 16 he’s made senior appearances in the Championship and the FA Cup. He’s more of an advanced player compared to Jude, however. He’s more of a winger or an attacking midfielder. We’d be lacking attacking-midfield players next season in our U23’s which makes the move look even more smarter (Forson and Hannibal when needed). Another is Ashley Phillips from Blackburn. Again, another 16-year old who’s around 6’4 already and is a centre-back. He’s played a lot of games in the Premier League 2 this season and looks like a good promising defender. With Mengi, Fish and Hardley going on loans next season, it leaves us with: Bennett, Fredricson, Kambwala and Jackson and the last 3 aren’t ready yet for U23’s football.

Seeing us constantly being linked with CB’s (Rudiger, Demiral) pains me. Fix what’s in front and behind them. Fix your game plan. Make the team balanced. Then evaluate them. Sure, they’ve had a lot of individual blunders, mainly Maguire, but they can’t gain confidence if they’re constantly left exposed. A CB can wait for at least 2 more years, spend those funds elsewhere where there are much bigger holes.
