Everything is about trophies these day, and any amount of money should be spent to get there. It was always easy to dislike Chelsea. Big oil money, buying tons of young players and let them waste on the bench or on loan, often very defensive and boring football but somehow winning trophies outta nowhere. As a gooner it was sometimes frustrating. However, as a neutral football-fan, you just knew that Chelsea had what it takes to become a likeable team with all the talent in their ranks, but the transfer-hunger and many manager-changes just destroyed that. Honest, the transferban is perhaps the best thing that could have happened for this club. It shows us and them how they should work and I think that, if they will continue this system and attitude (with Lampard at the wheel), they will become what ManU has been under Ferguson: an absolute top-team; consistent without big ups and downs, a trophy-killer; and that football-fans might hate them because of their success, and not because of their reckless penny-spending; a team with a vision.
