Many might not have time to keep track of our players on loan so here’s a summary. Leighton Clark (21) has 3 goals and 1 assist in 12 games for a Aberdeen side sitting in third, doing very well. Sepp van den Berg (20) with only played 4 games for a Shalke that is bottom of the league with 9 points. Only played 4 games due to injury, will be fit in january. Tyler Morton (20) has played 20 games for Blackburn Rovers, he’s got 1 assist and is giving consistently good performances. Owen Beck (20) has only played twice for Bolton Wanderers. Nothing to say here due to his 2 poor games. Rhys Williams (21) has played 14 games in a poor Blackpool. Only Hull City have conceded more goals (39) than Blackpool (33). He’s not been good. Anderson Arroyo (23) has featured in 8 games for Deportivo Alaves with some decent performances. Not entirely sold on his existence though. Billy Koumetio (20) with only 5 games in Austria Wien. Not much to say here. Connor Bradley (19) is doing very well in Bolton. 3 goals and 3 assists in 16 games at right wing back. Which is interesting considering the signing of Ramsay. Marcelo Pitaluga is a strange one, playing for Macclesfield who is in the 8th tier of English football. I was unable to find out how he’s doing. Vitezslav Jaros (21) has 4 clean sheets in 11 games for Stockport County, who are mid table. He has also conceded 12 goals. Adam Lewis (23) has played 13 games for Newport County. Some good games, will likely be leaving at the end of the season. James Balagizi (19) shows 2 goals and 1 assist in 9 games at Crawley Town. Some good performances with the odd poor one. Max Woltman (19) with 8 games has scored none nor assisted one, been very poor. Paul Glatzel has only played 1 game for Tranmere Rovers. Fidel O'Rourke has 6 goals in 9 games for Caernarfon, unable to find more information. Jack Bearne, no information Jakub Ojrzynski (19) has only played once at Radomiak Radom.

Assist last weekend, penalty save today, and that save on Soucek in the end tho. What a beautiful human being https://s3a.sofifa.net/2f09dc9a8fb34c1d1176e71daba9a1be08f0a4a7.jpg

Nunez is young yeah, and this is probably the biggest game he's ever been in and wanted to make an impact and score since he is a striker. Long way to go for sure, but he'll come good with Klopp and us.

I'm studying the way Lijnders had his NEC Nijmegen team playing and looking at the parallels with Liverpool. In order for this new system to work we need a midfielder that can play as a 6&8 at the same time in the game, hence the desire for Tchouameni and the interest in João Gomes (the Brazilian Ngolo Kanté). We are currently trying to get Henderson/Elliott do that job which they aren't really able to do at the required intensity, so we've adapted Fabinho's role to compensate for the extra distance needed to cover, he can't cover that much space by himself. It's that insecurity down the entire right side which is stifling creativity and chance creation and in turn our ability to score goals by creating overloads. Arguably it's the hesitancy and unsurity from our players about their roles which is causing us the main issue, only the right side has this role to play, the left side with Thiago/Robertson has an entirely different function to fulfill (mainly recycling possession and sweeping up lose balls, lesser attacking output generally). When the system works, and it hasn't worked so far with the exception of the Bournemouth game, it'll increase the amount of chances we create each game. The problem is, like at Nijmegen, it's a ridiculously complicated system to get right purely because anyone down that right side won't have a settled or prominent position (which is why we see Trent in midfield and Henderson at RW and Salah somewhere in between them both) their position is always taken off where the ball is on the other side and being in a position to create a chance, hence the importance of Thiago and his passing. Now I've still loads more to watch and assess but, to me, the tactics don't fit the players and the players involved are unsure of where and when they are supposed to be receiving the ball, causing a second of hesitation, which is restricting our creativity and our ability to outscore our opponents.

Tbh that's what I've always liked about fifa's, football is international so it should have songs from around the globe to represent that. That happened with Fifa 11 and 12 and I love those soundtracks

Some thoughts I have about the Napoli game TAA - Everyone is attacking him because he was just standing when a goal came in from where he was supposed to be - but.... No that was a bad angle, he came back into the DM role because the DM had gone to cover his position. Totally the right thing to do, how it is supposed to be. He was not as close as you think and him running back to his position would not have helped plus it would have left a space where the DM should be. The problem is Fab did not put in the effort... Fab could have stopped that ball getting to the player, he looked like he was either too tired or caring an injury or just could not care less ... Thus aside from a couple moments that look worse than they are, he actually played well, which is important for me to say because I have been very critical of him recently Fab - I have been very harsh on Fab, to be fair he has been over played, he should be heavily rotated with Hendo, basically the rule should be the same for both of them, if you are not world class you get dropped the next game and if that means one game on one game off most of the time then so be it. You will get a new DM next summer Gomez - Does not look like he is physically good enough at the moment, again over played due to injury crisis plus was not given enough cover from Fab - when Ibou is back Gomez should be rotation option for VVD VVD - is not mentally stable at the moment, he is not the leader when the chips are down, people just assume he is because of how good he is when Gomez can give him a rest for a few games against lower teams it will help him, he never gets a rest, you can see the stress of the whole team on his face Elliott - Looking over his stats they look like a typical game from Modric, now I am not saying he is close to that level now, but it is a sign of potential, don't expect him to play this well all season but this has been one of 2 games this season where he has been world class and so why not have a little hope Thiago and Melo - If they were both fit enough to start this game and play the full 90 you would have won this game, their quality takes a 4-1 loss into a 0-1 win Bobby - he might be back in form, but the way he plays no long fits you tactics, you have changed how you play, the only way Bobby makes sense is to go 4231 and use him in the 10 Diaz - is the guy to lift you up and give you a fighting chance when the chips are down, don't forget that when you are winning and have no worries Millie - Sad as it is but I think this is the end of the road for him, last season he declined, but now he has declined even more... Just can not keep up with the game You have the tools to fix your problems, but as I said at the start of the season, there is huge pressure on Elliott and Jones to step up and provide the high energy depth you need. Elliott is doing his side but should be depth for RCM and RW not a starter, Jones needs to get fit and do his side he also only needs to do LCM as Fabio can to back up LW

I really hope this is the summer we finally sign a proper 9. No disrespect to Firmino but I think we've outgrown the false 9 and when Jota was in form he really showed how crucial a lethal CF can be. Lewandowski or Kane isn't realistic for one second but a personal favourite of mine is Lautaro Martinez. He now has 3 straight seasons in Italy where he's scored around 20 goals. No doubt he would be expensive but we can't be cheap this summer, if Mane leaves that's 20+ goals that we need to replace. I also wouldn't be against selling Bobby to raise funds, he has declined hard the past 2 years and I don't see the logic in giving him a new deal so better to sell him now than to lose him for free.

You’ve got to respect Ralf Rangnick. Came to Man Utd, got a massive payday, ruined their dressing room from the inside out, ruined their season, then fucked off before doing the long term job upstairs that they actually brought him in for. What a man and what a shambles of a club.

I dont care what others say, trent and konate played immense for the final. Trent especially conpared to the other real game

Doing the parade despite losing was actually a really good idea, clearly lifted everyone's spirits. We should celebrate two fantastic achievements. We'll be back next season ✌️

You guys would have deserved it if you had won but you cant blame this loss on Real being lucky. They were placed against all the favorites (Psg, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool). One time is luck but 4 times? Never. You guys need to be gentlemen and give Real their due respect

To those saying we played against City's B team: "I've learned as a manager when you arrive in the latter stages in all competitions you adapt to the schedule. If you want to complain (for a safety) net, you make a mistake. It is what it is." - Pep Guardiola, 16/04/2022

Luton Town up to 3rd in the Championship (as it stands) with the 2nd smallest budget in the Championship, with a structure modelled off Liverpool's way of doing business. Considering where they were 5-6yrs ago it'd be proper fairytale stuff if they could maintain their form and get promoted via the playoffs 👏👏👏
