As for how this affects Villa, I really don't give a shit for a couple of reasons: - I can only worry about what Villa can control, and I believe we've had a very solid transfer window already (also you're welcome for Targett, hope he continues to perform cuz I like the guy). - I'm old enough to know that Villa's chances of breaking into the top 6 are incredibly slim, regardless of the other clubs which are also trying to break into the top six. Truth is I have been harping on the problem of big money in football for basically as long as I have been a football fan (Aston Villa is also part of the problem, as is almost every other top-flight English team). Newcastle are simply unique in that never before has a state *as* draconian as Saudi been involved so closely with a club, and the levels of wealth involved are mind-boggling. if I were baiting I woulda put it on the Newcastle squad page lol... this is just genuinely how I feel, the club gives me a visceral cringe reaction every time I think about them / hear about them / see them playing on the tele. I'm sorry that your club grosses me out (Freiburg is a cool shout tho), I wish it weren't that way but it's simply a gut feeling I get with regards to Newcastle.
